Families and Friends (The Family Libr (The Family Library)
Families and Friends (The Family Libr (The Family Library)

Review:Accurate, straight-forward approach. The perfect resource for starting this conversation with my 8 year old. This is just the book I was looking for- it presents the "typical" scenarios, but presents the atypical (conception with dr's help, c-section) scenarios as well in an unbiased look at life. Talking about Sex with Girls and Boys - What's the Big Secret?
Talking about Sex with Girls and Boys - What's the Big Secret?

Review:I love this book! I appreciate its matter-of-fact tone and the friendly, comfortable pictures, instantly recognizable as being drawn by Marc Brown, the author and illustrator of the Arthur series (very popular in our house). (The author of this book is Laurie Krasny Brown, his wife). I read it with my 8- and 10-year olds at the same time. There were some giggles, but also lots of interest, and good questions asked. My ten-year-old took it and read it again by himself when we finished. I was ... Read more

Boy and Bot
Boy and Bot

Review:Boy + Bot is an adorable story about two friends who try to take care of each other when they think the other one is sick. My 3 year old son received it as a gift at his last birthday and really enjoys this book. We read it at least 2x a week. We always talk in a monotone when we voice the robot, so I get a charge when I ask him a question and he says "AFFIRMATIVE" (like our Bot voice). Easy to read, nice pictures. Best for ages 2-5. Unstoppable
Unstoppable

Review:I like this book Unstoppable because The book is short and has a lot of cliffhangers a little bit of a summary of the book is a boy named harrison who plays football gets bone cancer and has to overcome a lot of challenges.
One reason for my opinion is on chapter 40 the ending has a cliffhanger In the book where the main character named Harrison and at the end of the chapter You wanted to talk to his dad whose nickname is coach “coach I want to talk with you”.Another reason for my opinion i... Read more

and Sexual Health (The Family Library) - Changing Bodies

Review:Thank goodness for books on sex education for kids. As someone that received no information as a child/teenager, I find it challenging to talk with my daughter about this subject. This book series has been really helpful to both normalize and have open conversations about sex. I feel great about the fact that my daughter can (and does) sit for what seems like forever reading this book.
The cartoons and jokes keeps it lighthearted; which I think makes it more enjoyable to read. It covers topi... Read more

Running Out of Time
Running Out of Time

Review:My daughter's 4th grade class was reading this novel, and I was so intrigued by the premise that I bought it for my Kindle so I could read it with her. And oh my, what a waste of money it turned out to be.

The writing was so amateurish I could barely stand it. The time spent describing every little detail and every word of a conversation could put you into a coma, while so many other aspects of the story were skipped entirely.

And the worst is how it ended. There are pages and page... Read more

Breakthrough Solutions To Your Child's Wetting - And Other Potty Problems
Breakthrough Solutions To Your Child's Wetting - And Other Potty Problems

Review:This book really helps explain bathroom issues and how they affect your child. My seven year old daughter has always had issues with constipation and bed wetting. It escalated to the point that she was having pooping accidents in the day and at night while she slept. The plan and advice in the book, along with the medical guidance of our GI doctor, has helped get our daughter back to normal. She also no longer wets the bed at night. I highly recommend it!
