Review:Goodbye Days is the wonderful sophomore novel from the talented Morris Award-winning author, Jeff Zentner. In Goodbye Days, Carver Briggs has lost his three best friends in a tragic accident. Carver’s grief (and guilt) is palpable on every page and Zentner’s exploration of it is poignant and heartfelt. But underneath all the grief, tucked within the beautiful words, is the thread of hope. And that is what makes this a novel to savor. Its story and characters will stay with you long after turning... Read more
Review:Single moms - must have for growing boys. Who is going to give them "that talk?" Now they can come to you with questions if they need to but they also have a book to reference for those embarrassing questions about puberty. I read through it before I gave it to my 10 year old. I know he will learn a lot from reading it. Read more
Review:I found this information to be informative and their methodology made sense to me. It also verified a lot of what I had been doing anyway and has turned me into a bit of a "nag" to my husband for changes to his lifestyle. Read more
Review:Honestly, its so hard to find a teen novel that does not showcase an emotionally or mentally abusive relationship between the two chracters that are in love. In most books they romanticise the act of letting another person become your whole world. Which is abuse. This book was so oddly healthy. My mind feels better after reading it, I feel better. I enjoyed it so much....every last word. Read more
Review:This is an excellent book to teach teens with. If they do not take the time to read it, then the adult can read it and teach them on a teen level. The only part I had any objection to was on one page there is a quote by our President Obama. Which is a good quote. Then a couple of pages past this quote was a piece about Donald Trump that was more negative. I realize the copyright was 2009, but it sounded a little political to me. Read more

Review:This book gives an excellent reflection on where one is in th midlife years, what to expect, new focuses and goals one discovers for oneself, and new directions to take which are so different from what one did in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. Excellent book. I highly recommend it. Read more
Review:I approached this 74-page "little" book with disappointment because I'd imagined a bigger, longer read. For the first 16 pages I was somewhat confused because of my own expectations. At page 17 the light bulb came on and I was not only following this story, I was drawn in and unable to stop, even when the lump in my throat was painful and tears rolled down my cheeks. This "little" book has some of biggest heart I've ever read. Read more
Review:Thank goodness for books on sex education for kids. As someone that received no information as a child/teenager, I find it challenging to talk with my daughter about this subject. This book series has been really helpful to both normalize and have open conversations about sex. I feel great about the fact that my daughter can (and does) sit for what seems like forever reading this book.
The cartoons and jokes keeps it lighthearted; which I think makes it more enjoyable to read. It covers topi... Read more
