Review:A very personal and thought-provoking book, "Letters" is written with the layman in mind. I found it to take on some very difficult theological topics with such ease and honesty. A must read for anyone who wrestles with apologetic topics. Also an excellent book to give to someone who is having a "belief crisis". The author cause you to think critically about why you believe the way you believe. Read more
Review:Gary's 4th book is an outstanding complement to his other 3 books for those who have had enjoyed them, and an excellent stand-alone work for those who haven't yet had the pleasure of reading them or are new to A Course in Miracles. I enjoyed the entire book immensely and recommend it without hesitation to any earnest student of the pure non-dual metaphysics of ACIM, and/or to those wanting to gain deeper insights into two lives that have had such a profound influence on both Western and Eastern ... Review:Living Buddha, Living Christ is one of my top ranked "spiritual" books. Hanh does a very excellent job of explaining the
beautiful and amazing unity of Buddhism and Christianity....very deep and insightful. He also is able to express
what Christianity is all about even more deeply and better than a number of Christian writers which in and of itself
demonstrates how our spiritual selves are more alike than different in nature....a real wake up call for all of us!
I believe we are mo... Read more

Review:Many of us who read reports of GRIN technologies consider them simply the latest advances in science and technology; a little unusual, maybe, but potentially beneficial and worth pursuing. This book, however, is a definite eye-opener for anyone with an understanding of humanity’s compulsion to be like God – beginning in the Garden of Eden – the great flood and its cause, and the continuing war between the two spiritual kingdoms climaxing in the last days. The authors lead us to solid conclusions... Read more
Review:I feel like the author was deflecting quite a bit when it comes to deeper questions. Honestly, at some points I just got to the end of the chapter and went, okay..? As a person who isn't committed to any sort of faith, but is still searching for some sort of spiritual truth, I feel like I can review this book without to much bias. Craig is very well known for debating many scientists/atheists on YouTube (at least that's where I found him). So this book is set up in a way of debating someone in e... Read more

It was chosen for my Methodist Church Library bought from its memorial/honorarium fund to celebrate the 138 years of the Church-wide program to start a University in each of the 48 states. A further thanks to Amazon for their part. R.D. Messer, M.D. Retired. Read more

Review:In the Name of Jesus Henri Nouwen describes what Christo-centric, servant leadership is all about. He states, "Much Christian leadership is exercised by people who do not know how to develop healthy, intimate relationships and have opted for power and control instead." Nouwen's leadership focus is on building God's Kingdom and not our own. The book is very short but is packed full of crucial teachings for current and future leaders. The newest edition features a helpful study guide with abou... Read more
Review:Bernstein writes about his childhood in the years before and during the First World War. On one level it's a love story about a forbidden relationship between his Jewish sister and the Christian boy she later marries. But it also covers poverty, Jewish/Christian relations, and the young men who went to fight in the war and the loved ones left behind. A really good read. Hard to believe he wrote this in his late nineties! Read more
