Review:This is our most tattered and used cookbook in the house. First off, its flaws are tolerable. I find some of the recipes ask for too much pasta, but you can easily adjust stuff like that. I am also sometimes suspicious about the sugar in some of these recipes, especially after reading the China Study and Whole. I love that there are pictures for most of the recipes, however they are all zoomed in and I would prefer some of the pictures be taken farther back to give a better idea of what the dish... Review:I have mixed emotions about China Study Quick & Easy Cookbook. The photography is nice so you get an idea of what each dish is without having to read the recipe first, so deciding what you want to cook is easier. But two things frustrate me about the book:
...No nutrition information for the recipes, and
...Unclear cooking instructions.
I ordered the book because I read The China Study and other books based on that information, so I'm eating vegan for both humane reasons and for... Read more
Review:This little book is wonderful. How I wish I would have paid better attention when Grandma was making her wonderful home-made pies. As a small girl spending the night at the farm with grandma and grandpa, you automatically knew that come morning, you would have fresh pie. What a great day to start your day! The Lost Art of Pie Making brings it all back. One of the best investments pie makers of any age will make. Read more

Review:Brand new condition. Arrived in 2 days as promised. One of the best cookbooks/gag gifts I’ve found. My friend is a chef and he approved of the actual recipes and was surprised it included some more complicated dishes and techniques. Thumbs up! Read more
Review:Super inspiring book. I've made the turmeric paste, lemon-dill kraut, golden beet kvass, and beet-horseradish kraut, all delicious. I look forward to fermenting through the seasons & hope to eventually try every recipe in this book! There is a wonderful (big) chapter of recipes using various of the ferments. Seriously, my fridge will never again be lacking of fermented veggies. Detailed how-to of the basic techniques, and enough recipes to inspire even experienced kraut-meisters. This book i... Read more
Review:Maria has done it again! This cookbook is even better than her others, which I wasn't sure was possible. I love the pictures and the easy to follow instruction and the handy nut free/dairy free indicators. She inserts busy family tips as well as how to make something dairy-free if needed. I have tried the tater tots, chai & raspberry fat bombs, cinnamon swirl cheesecake, and have more on the menu for this week! Read more

Review:It is an absolute love affair between this book and myself. As I am in the process of learning how to cook and learning to like to cook, I fell instantly in love with this book. The recipe lists are short and the directions are to the point. The flavors here are so wonderful. Easy for a novice to make and wonderful for everyone to enjoy. I do.... Enjoy! Read more
Review:The photography is about the best part of the book. If you're looking for ultra-fancy recipes with somewhat complicated decoration, then this is the cupcake book for you. I found maybe a handful of recipes I'd like to try. Most of the recipes yield odd quantities. Last I checked, most muffin tins are in multiples of 6. Most of the decorations are WAY too elaborate. The majority of recipes suggest applying the topping immediately before serving, which won't be practical for most people. Re... Read more
