Review:Golf and Archery as practiced by the Zen masters are among the few sports in which the participant releases a shot without looking at the target. If you really want to "be the ball", you must read Eugen Herrigel's masterpiece. It's small, but with this and Michael Murphy's "Golf in the Kingdom", you'll be ready for cosmic consciousness. Review:Hikers and armchair travelers alike will love this thoughtful meditation on all things trails. A true work of literature on par with some of the great nature writers, including Barry Lopez, Robert MacFarlane, John McPhee. I look forward to more works from this gifted young writer and explorer. Review:Kyle sure knows how to envelop you into his journey. It had just the right amount of humor and grit. It was fascinating to see encounters through his eyes. It is a must read for me, one of my favorite books. Read more
Review:This is an excellent reference, full of illustration and very updated. However, I tried to replace the Look pedals in my bike and I couldn't get the proper instructions in the book. There are only two pages on the topic. I did whatever I could to remove the pedals and was impossible (Look pedals does not accept the 15mm pedal wrench shown in the book) so I ended up going to the bike shop and fortunately they remove the pedals and installed the new ones for free.
Then, I bough a set of Sh... Read more
Review:Not a bad book for someone with a medical background to use as a review. Also good to give ideas for improvisation in off grid situation. Would strongly recommend William Forgey's book,"Wilderness Medicine",and the Hesperian Foundation's book, "Where there is no Doctor" as foundation works. They have not failed me in real world situations. Read more
Review:I really like Creek Stewart with his survival hacks and lessons. I have been a long-time fan even before he got his own TV show.
However, this book disappointed. The illustrations (they were not photos, by the way) were not always clear to decipher, and not every tip had a photo or drawing. Many of the tips were also a bit difficult to follow.
I didn't bother reading most of the book and ended up returning it instead. Sorry, Creek.

Review:I'm still in the process of reading the book. It is an occasional reader for me,picking it up when I have a few minutes to burn. I find some of the techniques outlined in the book difficult to duplicate. Yes, I am physically trying to learn the physical skills mentioned. I do have some skills related to survival from past employment, even so, many of these skills/results are difficult to achieve. If the level of information continues to evolve in future chapters as it has to this point I wil... Read more
Review:Real good book. I bought it to give away for my family's Christmas gift exchange, along with a survival type knife. People were fighting over it. My cousin, who is a prep'er ended up with it. And to be honest, I read a bunch of it before wrapping it up with Christmas paper. Read more
Review:I just finished Justin Roberts' book, Best Seat in the House and can't recommend it enough. Obviously right now there's a lot of talk about the JBL's deplorable bullying, however I was taken aback by the stories of the rough condition of travel and the abuse and utter lack of communication by management. It was really interesting to read this shortly after re-listening to CM Punk's podcast with Colt Cabana from November 2014 and many of the "alleged" injustices that Punk had pointed out.
Review:Shipping Was Swift & The Book itself is extremely interesting, while reading it you get a sense of ' OMG this was written over 300 years ago & Here I am reading this. Great insight By Miyamoto Musashi Very Insightful & Mind Opening. Read more
