The Man from St. Petersburg
The Man from St. Petersburg

Review:I really like Ken Follett books, but this book I found just a bit too illogical for me, several times I had to scratch my head and wonder about the characters thought processes and motivation. Way too many coincidences (of course most books have more coincidences than one would expect in a normal life) for me to forgive. Read more

Triple: A Novel
Triple: A Novel

Review:I am a great fan of Follett. I have read everything he has written and have never been disappointed. My Canadian friend put me onto this author and I am very grateful to her for many enjoyable reads. Words flow so smoothly and description put me right in the scene. Can't wait for his next book. The Hammer of Eden: A Novel
The Hammer of Eden: A Novel

Review:I've read several Ken Follett novels, and although some of them are powerful (Pillars of the Earth, book 1 of the Century triology), he's also striked out more than once. This is one of them. The premise was semi-interesting, but totally unbelievable. As the reader, you need to decide early on if you're going to go along with that. I could have done that, except he brought in his misogynistic self and just irritated the crap out of me. I think he might have used the words "breast," "see through"... Read more

The Third Twin
The Third Twin

Review:We find Follett's medieval stories to be great, and his wartime spy novels fairly good; and so looked forward to a modern-day storyline in "Twin". It's difficult to summarize the plot without spoiling it, although the book's title helps us figure out what's going on about 150 pages before the key players do! A researcher, Jeannie Ferrami, is doing clever studies on twins raised apart, where one is a criminal and the other a good guy - working on the old nature versus nurture argument. When her b... Map of Bones (Sigma Force)

Review:Probably so far THE BEST James Rollins book partially due to it's subject matter of science, covert Christian background and of course action and intrigue. Thanks once again Dr. Rollins for a wonderfully exciting book. Read more

First Strike (A Brady Hawk Novel Book 1)
First Strike (A Brady Hawk Novel Book 1)

Review:I was very disappointed in this book. I guess the first clue was that the author's bio blurb was badly in need of editing.I mean did someone not proof-read this, especially since it was on the back cover? The book itself was very slim. Its appearance kind of reminded me of a book from as series like "Sweet Valley High" only a lot more expensive! The plot was so unbelievable it is was...well...unbelievable. The main character, Hawk, would find himself in a dire, almost inescapable situation and ... Read more
