Review:While reading through the latest in Stephen England's Shadow Warriors series, I was struck by a feeling of familiarity that I struggled to pin down. Eventually, it hit me; Harry Nichols' latest adventure hit me in the same way that Brad Thor's first few Scot Harvath tales had, and I found myself grinning at the comparison. Lest you misunderstand, there's no aping present; rather, England's voice as a writer, his pacing, and his command of both action and character development are of a similar te... Read more
Review:This book fuses two sagas--Kerry Kilcannon of the Kilcannon family and Chris Paget's courageous judge Caroline Masters. So, given such great examples of Patterson's formidable reservoir of charcters, why does this story in the final analysis fall into the stale cliche of a contemporary hot-button issue--that of abortion rights? A new President has to come up with an appointee for the Supreme Court, and it turns out to be none other than Aunt Caroline (Judge Masters has a beloved niece who's actu... Read more
Review:Brad Thor books for me are always interesting and easy read. Easy read is a compliment! I always look forward to reading the book and can't wait to see how it unfolds. Scot Harvath is a character that you are rooting for to succeed. You know that he will but you like seeing the process and his interactions with all the other characters.
Very enjoyable!!! Read more
Review:Stephen England has written an excellent debut thriller. Pandora's Grave throttles up from the first chapter and doesn't stop until the end.
He weaves history, suspense, and politics for an intriguing story that takes us from Tehran, to Langley, to Jerusalem and introduces a cast of characters who are all critical to the story. To add to the suspense, there's a sleeper among the U.S. agents and we're left to figure out who it might be.
It takes a talented author to provide histor... Read more
Review:Vince Flynn weaves an intriguing tale with interesting characters involving three religions and multiple countries. The sometimes strange relationships mirror the complexities of the Middle East. Very entertaining. Read more
Review:I recently ordered new copies of the Mitch Rapp series. I find it infuriating that the original books have all been altered so that Emily Bestler can stick in her pitch for a book (The Survivor) written by someone else. Flynn made lots of sloppy errors, but had good stories and good character development which continued as the series progressed. The errors would have been corrected by a competent editor, and their ongoing presence shows that this editor is either incompetent or that she doesn... Read more
Review:There were thirteen books in the series. All of the books are great and easily deserve to five star rating. It is too bad there can be no more than thirteen books. I have read all thirteen in order without reading any other books. Read more
