Historical Romance
Review:To Wed the Widow doesn't follow the normal formula of historical love stories. One can't tell whom is the villain and whom is the victim right away. It allows the reader to form opinions without being spoon fed what to think. It's quite refreshing and unexpected. It's ally enjoyed this book. Read more
Review:Fun read in the series of the Cynster family. Characters from previous novels are skillfully interwoven so you can appreciate catching up with the family, but you dont have to have read the earlier books to enjoy this one. Read more
Review:Loved this book. Ive been waiting to see how this generation is going to pair off. It's wonderful to have a better look inside Richard's family and see how all of the kids relate to one another. Can't wait for Marcus' story. Read more
Review:Even though this is the second book in the series, I read it last and found it just as satisfying as all the others. Nobody is doing Regency romances better today than Stephanie Laurens. The plot of this book focused almost exclusively on the relationship between the two leads. There was some sort of mystery plot surrounding the whole thing, but frankly I couldn't keep the cast of characters straight and didn't find it very interesting. Not that it mattered. Review:Once again Stephanie gets it oh so right with the continuing Cynster saga. My only complaint is that is seems so long between books. I know it isn't but I no sooner finish one that I want to know what happens next. Read more
Review:My first Stephanie Laurens book was "Devil's bride" which I loved, then I read two other Cynster which left me wondering whether any other member of the family would ever compare to Devil.. I was ready to give up and move on when the star rating and reviews for this book made me give the Cynsters AND Laurens one last chance; needless to say I am glad I did, Gabriel/ Rupert is as strong a character as Devil and Thea is, IMHO, a less exasperating character than Honoria. Well done. Read more

Review:Enjoyable read, love the story of dragons and Scotland. There were areas that I'd wish the authors would have elaborated on, instead of just moving on. Did need a bit of tissues, overall I will read this again and look forward to more stories in this series. Read more
Review:This is a delightful book by Claire Delacroix. Her heroine is a perfect balance between independence and intelligence and the hero is a perfect gentleman with rough edges. If you like many of her other series, this one will not disappoint. Read more
Review:The emotions and attitudes felt right. There is a lot of killing in this book but the characters don't spend all day over-analyzing their actions, which feels right for the time. I like the fact that the couple spends so much of the first part of the book apart, giving her a chance to prove her worth as the mistress of the manor. Read more
