Review:I bought this book for my daughter, she picked it out. She is in complete love. I am so lucky to have a teenage daughter that appreciates books the way that her mother and I do. She cannot stop talking about her book and how she wants another one like it. Read more

Creative Haven Spring Scenes Coloring Book (Creative Haven Coloring Books)
Creative Haven Spring Scenes Coloring Book (Creative Haven Coloring Books)

Review:I love the Creative Haven coloring books and this one is full of different Spring themes and each page is full of many different items to color. I have noticed my green pencil supply is getting a little low, but that's okay, they are easily replaced. Read more

Swear Word Coloring Book - 50 Shades Of Bullsh*t
Swear Word Coloring Book - 50 Shades Of Bullsh*t

Review:This swear word adult coloring book is my favourite coloring book I've gotten so far. Right off the bat the title is funny, usually a good sign and I really like the books with the black backgrounds because they make your finished work look great, the color really pops from the page. I'm new to the swear coloring books and I'm loving them so far, they are silly and funny and different to give you a change of pace from the normal books like mandala books or animas, nature etc. Well actually now y... Learn to Paint Watercolor in 30 Days - Everyday Watercolor
Learn to Paint Watercolor in 30 Days - Everyday Watercolor

Review:It's a great book! Well organized tutorials. Skills are arranged cumulatively. The basics of mark making are covered all the way to composing a full-page illustration. The designs are beautiful, on trend, and inspiring. It also seems like the content is quite balanced between providing visual appeal and thorough instruction, that is there are pretty images scattered pretty evenly among the text. Read more

The Beauty of Horror 1: A GOREgeous Coloring Book
The Beauty of Horror 1: A GOREgeous Coloring Book

Review:Probably my favourite coloring book to date! I didn't want to color in it because it's so beautifully illustrated, but I finished the first double page spread and I plan on doing the rest. Markers don't bleed through either which is a big plus for me since colored pencils sometimes hurt my hand to color with for long periods of time. Read more

How to Draw People (Dover How to Draw)
How to Draw People (Dover How to Draw)

Review:My daughter is seven and loves drawing. This book has been very helpful in step by step guides to draw more detailed figures. She has used the book a couple times now. The book is sort of gender-neutral, so I have found that my "girly girl" is only semi-interested in the characters. Overall, it is a great step by step guide and very age appropriate. Read more

Mom Life: A Snarky Adult Coloring Book
Mom Life: A Snarky Adult Coloring Book

Review:This coloring book contains 32 pages of mom life pictures for coloring. I think that it contains the perfect blend of snarky, sentimental, and silly that only a mother can appreciate.

The pictures are well drawn. Some have more details to color while some are more plain. I'm happy with this coloring book and look forward to coloring the pages, but do have some caveats on it.

The paper itself is not very high quality. If you're using gel pens or markers, the pages are not thick enou... Read more

Disney Dreams Collection Thomas Kinkade Studios Coloring Book
Disney Dreams Collection Thomas Kinkade Studios Coloring Book

Review:I ordered this book based on the pictures it showed in the preview. I ordered it in March and it arrived in Sept. I was excited to get it. Well I was very disappointed. The pictures to color are good. The color plate pictures are awful. The colors in the color plates are smeared, blurry or pixilated. The faces were so over inked that they looked dark orange. There were some of the color plates that were nice, but I would say that over 3/4 of them were very bad. If you want the book just to be ... Read more

52 Creative Exercises to Make Drawing Fun (Lab Series)

Review:I love this book. Having used several "how to" art books in the classroom, this little book gives more helpful ideas and thought than any I have ever seen. I can't wait to start using it as a motivator for my summer school art class. Wonderful gift to the art educator from the creative mind of my sister-in-law! Read more

Supernatural: The Official Coloring Book

Review:I love Supernatural, the show is a staple for us. It's an awesome, very inclusive and caring fandom! This coloring book is fun to flip through and see all the pictures, it's fun to color things as you think they could be in maybe another dimension lol
HOWEVER - My biggest gripe - How is Chuck not in this coloring book!? :-( Adding God would definitely have made this 5 stars :-) Read more
