Review:Having a 13 year old catcher, this book really hit home. As a kid I don't remember my parents having to put out hundreds of dollars for my brothers to play baseball in a league that did not contribute to recreational or school ball. In fact, when I was approached recently by a "travel ball" recruiter, I told my dad the dollar amounts and travel cost requested and he said "What! That is a rip off! I was still a little confused about the whole situation until I read this book.

Review:This book is very interesting with tips and stories. I liked his original book "Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life" better as that had more practical application. This one has more stories than practical applications, but it is still good to know info. Read more
Review:I love, love, love Katie McGarry's Pushing the Limits series. TAKE ME ON was no exception. I loved reading about West and Haley. As always, McGarry's characterization skills are amazing, as are her abilities to create compelling relationships. And I'm not just talking about the romances, which are always packed with chemistry. Complex friendships and family dynamics are always a sure find and part of what pulls me so deeply into her books that I don't want to climb back out again.

Review:Great book for endurance training, however, it falls short when it comes to dietary advice. For example, the following quote comes from the book:
"About 40 percent or more of the carbohydrates you eat is converted to fat and stored as body fat."
Excess Starch Does Not Turn to Body Fat
A widely held belief is that the sugars in starches are readily converted into fat and then stored unattractively in the abdomen, hips, and buttock. Incorrect! And there is no disagreement about t... Read more
Review:A fun book that will challenge your understanding of the avian world around you. Even if you skip over the neurochemical descriptions, as I mostly did, there is plenty of easily accessible material here to hold your interest. An easy read that will make you look at the crows you walk, bike, or drive by every day in an entirely different light. Read more
Review:I liked this book that shows the daily struggles of a young man who is determined to succeed. He was given grief from everyone. It would have been easy for him to give up and give in, but his determination and grit led him to success. Read more
Review:Wallace Wallace is an extremely good person and does what many people try to accomplish, he doesn't lie. The last sentence that you just read has no flaws. Nothing wrong, no misspelled words. He is a very good person and he doesn't tell lies. Everyone tries not to, but Wallace Wallace succeeds. But things aren't always right just because you do the right thing. Wallace did just that.
It all started when Mr. Fogelman gave the assignment to write a book review on Old Shep My Pal. Mr... Read more
Review:I really enjoyed the authors self deprecating humor and open writing style. The book is especially interesting to me as I live in Madison County, NC near Hot Springs and love hiking in these mountains. Read more
Review:Wow!!! Incredible!!! I can’t explain what this book did to me. It hurt to read it. My anxiety went through the roof. It was a simply incredible. I can’t say it was her best book, because all Tijan’s book are incredible, but it’s definitely up there. The last line of the book through me for a loop. Can’t say I saw that coming.
This book did remind me of Sam and Mason, so if you love their story, you’ll love this one too. The male characters aren’t as hard core and the girls aren’t as ruthl... Read more
Review:It was a pleasure reading this book simply for the fact that it includes a number of topics which are not usually included in similar books, such as Body Dynamics, the element of fear etc.
The plain english is easy to follow and the figures clearly explain anything that might seem overly complicated when read for the first time.
This is truly a book for the rider who wants to better him/herself and its a pitty it does not leave space for small notes for the reader to jot down to us... Read more
