Witch's Reign (Desert Cursed Series Book 1)
Witch's Reign (Desert Cursed Series Book 1)

Review:I had read the venom series before this too. They stand independently of each other with minimal cross over. This original book in the series drew me in but the next book was even more captivating. I can barely wait for the 3rd to come out next month with a possible 4th book in the fall! Read more

Dangerous Women
Dangerous Women

Review:I bought this anthology as a gift for my significant other who is enthralled with A Game of Thrones. The book was in good shape when it arrived, and is aesthetically pleasing to publicly display. The anthology seems really interesting as a whole. Definitely worth the buy. Read more

The Wit & Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister (A Song of Ice and Fire)
The Wit & Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister (A Song of Ice and Fire)

Review:Though Tyrion is one of my favorite characters, this was disappointing in that there was no new material - just quality quotes from Tyrion. Not a bad deal, just not what I expected. This might be a good coffee table book. Read more

Rogues
Rogues

Review:Don't hate on this please. But while I absolutely love the GOT books' storylines, characters, and scenes, which Gorge R.R. Martin so expertly and economically sets up, it's continually difficult for me to wade through the style of prose he's chosen to tell the tale. It just breaches the hokey line, in addition to the highbrow mark, a bit too often for my taste. But of course I read on. This world he's created is just too intriguing to stop. One just has to know what happens next. Read more

Wild Cards I: Expanded Edition
Wild Cards I: Expanded Edition

Review:Surprised me how quick this book reads. The jumps between lives of aces and jokers just kept me interested. It never got too long for a single character, but continuous mentioning kept them close at heart. Read more

The Ice Dragon
The Ice Dragon

Review:I was a little shocked, I didn't think that George RR Martin did anything in less than 150 pages. it's an interesting story, but it doesn't really seem to fit with any of his other works. All in all, a good purchase I'd say. Read more

Winter's King (The Wings of War Book 3)
Winter's King (The Wings of War Book 3)

Review:This series of books has a little, or a lot in some cases, of everything. Action, adventure, magic and fighting. About the only thing missing missing is an actual romantic angle, or so it seemed. Great read, engaging until the last. Read more

Warriors (Lord John Grey)
Warriors (Lord John Grey)

Review:I bought this to read while on jury duty and picked it because of the author. Actually, its is a collection of short sci-fi stories which range in quality from good to so-so. George RR Martin is not one of the authors. I need to say that I am not a sci-fi fan, but I did really enjoy the five Game of Thrones books so I bought this one. It's okay but I would not recommend it as worth getting unless you are a sci-fi nut. Read more

The Illustrated Edition - A Song of Ice and Fire
The Illustrated Edition - A Song of Ice and Fire

Review:I just recently received and am really impressed! Such a beautiful book! Love the illustrations too! I hope that the author/ publisher comes out with other illustrated volumes like this one for the other 4 books since I would buy and then the dragon egg book ends to go with! Cannot wait to read! Love the HBO series and am hooked!! Read more

Tuf Voyaging: A Novel
Tuf Voyaging: A Novel

Review:This simplistic "adventure in space" seems to have a target demographic of 12 year old kids. Tuf, who accidentally loves cute cats, finds a space ship. Tuf takes this huge space ship to various planetary systems, who all have various ecologically related problems they can't fix themselves. Tuf uses the ship's cloning devices to engineer some kind of biological solution to the planet's problem. Repeat a couple of times, and that's it.

The ending's attempt to provide a more philosophical di... Read more
