No Greater Joy: Volume One
No Greater Joy: Volume One

Review:Where have the last couple of generations gone wrong? It has been in moving away from sound Biblical doctrine and adopting worldly "feel-good" forms of discipline (time-outs), positive affirmation, and blaming others (he's a middle child). The Bible says, "The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame." Proverbs 29:15 Hmmmmm. Do you feel ashamed when you look at your children who don't obey you and disrespect other adults? In a culture where children ... Read more

In this book about creating community (a Village) for our children, Hillary discusses the deficiencies, the poverty, and the inadequacies of today's family structure. She offers many suggestions and lists commun... Read more

She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders
She's Not There: A Life in Two Genders

Review:While I appreciate the courage it must have taken the author to write this story of her life I found this book difficult to follow. It jumps around in time which in this particular case made it difficult for me to really gain a sense of what the author's journey entailed. If you are looking for a book that reads like a story versus an informative resource on transgendered individuals then this might be for you. Personally I was hoping for more of the latter. Simple Solutions for Kids from Birth to 5 Years - The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep

Review:this book made a tremendous difference in our first year with our first baby. we were fans of the happiest baby dvd, and i wondered if this would really add anything new. if you've already seen the dvd (also highly recommended, more so than the book version of 'happiest baby on the block'), then this is an excellent additional resource. it focuses specifically on sleep, and helps with both immediate strategies and, just as importantly, long term good habits that set you up for a great sleeper... A Proven Program to Teach Your Baby to Sleep Twelve Hours a Night
A Proven Program to Teach Your Baby to Sleep Twelve Hours a Night

Review:It works! Our twin boys were sleeping 12 hours straight since they were 13 weeks old. We started them a week later then was recommended because we wanted to be sure the babies were ready. All the steps were easy to follow and they really worked. Make sure you and anyone else who is responsible for overnight care of your children are in agreement on how to follow the instructions in this book. If you are consistent it pays off. I recommend this book to all new parents. Read more
