Education & Teaching
Review:Tedious, boring and definitely stagnant. Who really cares about the recollections of a butler who apparently isn't particularly bright. The only good thing I can say is that it is fast reading and that is because there is no substance. Read more
Review:This is a good written explanation of the process of building mind maps (radiant thinking). The explanations for the use and purpose, as well as the various areas where they are useful are also carefully explained. But the book is 98 percent text and presents a very limited and artificial way of creating them. The advice is good and complete, but as I discovered, missies the opportunity to supply varied and creative visual examples to bring them to life. Read more
Review:The subject of history and its interpretation has become the topic of widespread debate due to its dual nature: Real people and events and their interpretation. The latter is the real controversy in history. Columbus is not admired (or hated) due to who he was or even what he did but over the consequences of his actions - discovery of a New World or destroyer of an old one. Review:The book is about Zachary. Zachary is a very fat teenager. It was also about Toby. Toby's mother left the home. A guy named Cal is in it. He's brother went to fight in the Vietnam War.
The part I hate the most was when something happened to Cal's brother.
My favorite part was when Zachary got baptized.
I didn't like the book because it didn't have hardly any action, it's too boring, and too sad. It was nothing but talk, it was slow and too pitiful. It was disappointing and l... Read more

Review:Text is short, easy to understand, pictures vibrant and relatable, and perfect to use as a social story for my six-year-old autistic child. At the end of the book, there ideas that parents can use to help their child brainstorm and role play. Read more
Review:An excellent guide for all new "flippers" out there. It begins with the why and ends with the how. It is short but concise so it doesn't require days of reading - which unfortunately most teachers don't have the luxury of during the school year. If you are truly interested in flipping your classroom, buy this book! Read more
Review:I bought several of these since my child likes for me to read them to her. These are basic toddler books. Don't expect the Cat in the House type quality. These are simpler in terms of paper quality but gets the job done. The price was very low which is great since you don't need them for to long. Read more
Review:As a Coordinator for Student Development classes at the community college level, I am hooked on Thomas Frank's approach! I have visited his website, CollegeInfoGeek.com, many times, and I have read this entire book! I think it is practical, relevant, and appealing to the target audience. A strength of his writing style is his no-nonsense approach infused with humor. Additionally, his knowledge of ed tech resources to assist students is incredible! The only downside to the book that I think ... Read more
