Review:While I was reading The Paris Wife, I began wondering about some of the Hemingway stories which had intrigued me as a young student. These stories are meant to be re-visited many times over and I am delighted by the additional selections which I had never been familiar with. This collection needs to be in everyone's library. Long live wonderful Hemingway. Read more
Review:This book is ok. If you enjoyed the previous books then you will probably enjoy this one. Why do I not rank it higher then three stars? One... the story went too quickly. It also lacked enough "quiet times" of social interaction and character building. This book had a bit of growth and personal revelation but it was rushed and the payoff i... Read more
Review:I guess I'm just not a fan of mystical/science fiction. This work - - and its related series - - came highly recommended to my by a friend. I only made it through the first 8 or 9 pages before hitting the "delete" button. Read more

If only these stories weren't - at least for the most part - so bleak, I could personally enjoy them much more. There's humor to be found within this volume, for sure - but for the most part I found hopelessness and resignation and emptiness and pathos. Far t... Read more
Review:Really enjoy the Longmire series. Like the way Graig Johnson intertwines Indian mysticism into the story line. Overall excellent plots in all of the stories I have read. Excellent interaction between characters, going from humerus to serious. Read more
Review:So disappointing to pay this kind of money for short stories. Murakami is one of my favorite authors, but the last few titles have been well below the standard for an author who is in the running annually for the Nobel prize in Literature Read more
Review:I really liked all three brothers in the series, and while you could read any of the books as a stand alone, they were much better as a series. I really liked how other characters were brought back in and you got to see how things went for them as well. Read more
