Review:‘This Long Vigil,’ is a science-fiction short story written by Rhett C. Bruno. It follows Orion, the only human being awake in a ship of 1000. Orion’s been serving twenty five years as the lone human Monitor of the Interstellar Ark, Hermes, and is scheduled to be placed back in his hibernation chamber with the other members of the crew in about 23 hours time. He knows he’ll die there and be replaced by another human before the ship’s voyage is completed. Will he, though, let it end?

Review:Love Anita Blake but I found myself trying to speed read to the good parts. Don't get me wrong, I love the characters and am a huge Anita Blake and crew fan but too much romance not enough action here. Read more
Review:I will not restate the plot nor reveal any spoilers in this review.
Usually a prequel gives you an idea of whether the following book is of interest. In this case, Something To Remember (a prequel to Forget Me Not) is not a book to my taste. It is classified as a dark romance but its subject matter is too dark for me. Without giving away any spoilers, Something To Remember is a lead-in and, therefore, is not a stand-alone book. Unless you enjoy a dark romance and have intentions to read Forge... Read more
Review:As usual Bob Grant has created an extremely helpful guide for women everywhere. It's so easy to see how his advice is spot on perfect. In the past I have seen men act just the way he describes. It's great to be able to read a book by a man who obviously understand both men and women in relationships and has the ability to communicate that understanding. Read more
Review:Stross does it again, combining wit, humor, and horror into a fun little short story that had me grinning like a loon and left me with the creeps. But really, did you need someone to tell you to to read another Laundry Files story? Read more
Review:The story itself is the most engaging part of this book- you find yourself questioning the existence of the main character, her backstory, why she's on this island. The romance however... is a little lacking. It's barely there, the development is mainly subtext with some throw away lines and the ending is very... light. It sorta just decides "yep this is it." Overall a nice little read, especially for free. Read more
Review:The entire Walt Longmire series has been a pleasure to read. This one, however, is his classic! He perfectly blends mystery, excitement, excellent characters, action, suspense, and a wonderful mystic element into a late night page turner. This is a fine example of what a talented writer can accomplish when he blends all of the elements of excellence into a work. I've been a fan of Craig and his work for a long time, but never more so than now. I'd really like to see this as a feature film, if th... Read more
Review:I am still wondering if the downloading was cut short. This is not a short story its not even a chapter.
I was not expecting a continuation of the usual Joe Pickett novels, I was expecting a story, not what seems to be a discarded few pages from a book. Amazon should have made this clear, not worth the money, but what there is is well written. Read more
Review:I believe this Sheperd "pastor", should be out proclaiming the gospel. Spending time as a critic is wasting valuable time when time is running out.
God gives us free will so that we can make up our minds. Let the unsaved be shocked into searching out their salvation, and the saved can search for fruit. Read more
