Review:I read for entertainment and I found this novel to be very engaging. The references to Andrew Wyeth and Christina's World were appreciated as I read and even more so a week later when I saw the current Blue Man Group show which features Christina's World. I liked learning a little about how art can have an impact on an Alzheimer's patient. Read more
Review:Loved this story, it was unique and well written. I will be honest in saying I almost didn't read it because of the "romantic comedy" aspect, but in all honesty, I wouldn't consider it a comedy at all. I also was turned off by the "holiday" genre. There was absolutely NO holiday anywhere in this book. Why would this book be in a holiday genre? Read more
Review:Great story, but it got a bit repeptitive. The protagonist was too dislikable in the beginning to have successfully completed a transformation into a lovable and charismatic person. All the others characters, however, were believable and consistent. Read more
Review:Cleo is most definitely an interesting person! She not only has an - interesting - mom! I loved the scene where the family is around the dinner table and just like the commercials everyone becomes silent when dad speaks. Poor Cleo has had a tough time with relationships in the past, but, something happens when she meets Mark in person! Granted she has been fantasying about him for awhile so when she gets the chance to be with the real thing she is blown away! However, she overhears something the... Read more
Review:Lisa Gardner has never written a disappointing book. Ever since I discovered her as an author, I have been a complete fan. I just started reading the Linda Barnes series, which is comparable to Lisa Gardner. They have a lot of the same characters from earlier books, but always a different plot. You get to know the characters, their personalities and quirks. I have gotten to love all of the characters in her books. Read more
Review:Music, revenge, love... Maci and Ethan are two of the most frustrating yet relatable characters I've read this year. You can't help but root for them. The Power to Break broke Maci, Ethan, and me. The only thing that it left whole is the thread that binds them, tangled as it may be. I eagerly await their conclusion to find out just how tangled a thread can get before it becomes a bow or breaks. Read more
Review:Absolutely amazing book written by 2 of my favorite authors. Loved every single part of it. Don’t wait to buy this book. Ian and London have a love/hate relationship from the start. Ian is the playboy party boy that lives behind the crazy cat lady. Then they are forced into a situation that neither ever believed or wanted to be in. Choices are made and lives are forever changed. Absolutely loved the chemistry and the bantering between the two of them. Plus, the kids involved in the book, don’t g... Read more
Review:This Modern Library edition is gorgeously printed and well-annotated with invaluable critical notes that will make the work vastly more accessible to the average person while providing useful background to others. I would have preferred it to have included Paradise Regained, however, as I think it's an important companion to the work. Those with more of an interest in literary criticism or who wish to more vigorously digest and dissect the poem would be advised to steer themselves towards the No... Read more
Review:Dacians have got themselves another fan! Trehan and Bettina are a great addition! I also LOVED Morgana and Salem! I looked forward to Morgana's quips and witty remarks. Salem is definitely sigh-worthy (for a sylph who can't even take a corporeal form!) and deserves his own story from this encounter alone!
Brava, Ms. Cole! And, please more! Read more
