J. D. Robb In Death Collection Books 1-5

Review:I love J D Robb books, I know Nora Roberts writes them but the IN DEATH series are a lot better and I love the fact that she uses Eve Dallas,Roake, and Peabody in all her books. I get her books on my e-reader so that I can keep reading them and don't have to worry about losing them. J D Robb keep writing these books. Read more

Loyalty in Death
Loyalty in Death

Review:While this is the 9th book in the In Death series, following Conspiracy in Death, the storyline takes place only a few weeks after the events of the 8th novel and only one year after the events of the 1st novel in the series. And, instead of being a standard murder mystery, this is a story about domestic terrorism – in the year 2058 – in New York City.

While this novel has a copyright date of 1999, I am reviewing the novel in 2013 and nothing much about domestic terrorism has changed in t... Read more

Review:I love Eve and Roark. This book does not disappoint! Good story. Not for the faint of heart because the details are graphic. If you have issues with sexual assault be prepared but otherwise a good story. Love these books Read more

Lowcountry Bookshop (A Liz Talbot Mystery)
Lowcountry Bookshop (A Liz Talbot Mystery)

Review:I love this series! I was hooked when I read the first book and the subsequent ones have not disappointed. Susan Boyer takes you to the South Carolina Lowcountry and makes you want to move there. Her descriptions of Charleston and her fictional island of Stella Maris are wonderful, not to mention the restaurants and food. I'd love to have Liz's Mom cook for me! The mysteries in all the books keep you guessing - at least they did me - and she brings the characters to life so easily you feel ... Read more

The Deep End (The Country Club Murders Book 1)
The Deep End (The Country Club Murders Book 1)

Review:A pretty good cozy mystery among the country club set. Ellison is married to the philandering husband. Then she begins to find one body after another. Why doesn't she tell the handsome detective what she suspects? Makes sense at first, but after a third person dies and her home is burglarized, I was just a tiny bit irritated with her. She didn't see the clues that were dropping all around her. Read more

Milk and Honey
Milk and Honey

Review:For those unfamiliar with Faye Kellerman's early work, than this is worth the read just to get the back story on her characters. The plot becomes bogged down in characterizations that mask a thin and somewhat incredulous plot. Read more
