Review:Her method of going back and forth in generations is interesting but sometimes confusing if you have read past your tired point - something most Kindle users do. I love the way she writes and look forward to many more books by her. Read more
Review:I should start by admitting that this series is one of my guilty pleasures, so I was particularly sad to discover this latest installment lacked the charm I usually find. The plot seemed contrived solely to advance the political and social issues Ms. Brown wanted to explore. I don't object to the sentiments she expressed, as a matter of fact her politics and mine are closely aligned, however there was an atypical clumsiness to the way her themes were interwoven into the story line, and it felt a... Review:This is a wonderful book for everyone. The mystery is intriguing and so are the characters. They all add their special brand of humor and vitality to the book. The animals are always a step ahead of the humans in finding out who the murderer is although they don't have time to figure it out themselves. The murderer slips near the end and you'll know who it is if you pay attention. Of course, if you read the other books before this one, you'll know who it is from the start. So, my advic... Read more

In her later books, and especially in this one, Ms. Brown has her characters pontificating on the law and government way too much of the time. It's time to get back to emphasis on the good old-fashioned mystery aspects. Read more
Review:Lectura que te tiene en suspenso continuo. Los personajes son los mismos de El Juego del Angel y El prisionero del Cielo. Las historias se continuan de una a otra novela dando un panorma mas amplio. Read more
Review:A little predicatble. I thought it would be like a Gone Girl and it wasn't really on that level. I am from LA though so I i enjoyed that the author referenced LA place in the novel. Overall, it did hold my attention and I finished in just a couple of days. Read more
Review:I was totally immersed in the main characters in this book. Extremely well described and held my attention throughout its entirety. I only wish that Trokic and Angie could somehow get back together. I was held in suspense till the very end when "Charlie" was revealed! Thank you for this suspenseful book! Read more
Review:Hokee Wolf is bigger than life and not someone to be trifled with. Along with his temporary sidekick, Glory, we join him for an amazing journey through lava fields, sweat lodges and beyond. Tony Hillerman with an edge. Read more
Review:Absorbing as always. I love Barbara Havers, who always retains her essential self while changing outwardly. Here she takes up tap dancing, and loses weight. Lynley, the perfect gentleman, finally takes steps to make his "guv" seek help with her drinking. I couldn't put it down, and I didn't want it to end. Read more
