Hokee Wolf is bigger than life and not someone to be trifled with. Along with his temporary sidekick, Glory, we join him for an amazing journey through lava fields, sweat lodges and beyond. Tony Hillerman with an edge.

A story that keeps you wanting more, the detail makes you feel like you are there. I didn’t want the story to conclude and it could possibly continue in another book. Amazing circumstance that are very believable.

Overall I liked this book. It went pretty deep into Indian Shamanistic culture but on a way that added to the story. If he writes another Home Wolf novel I will buy it. Held my interest through the entire story

Loved the characters and setting. I remember visiting some Hogans when I was a child and setting the small sweat Hogans nearby. Was interesting reading about some of the practices these were used for.

This book was entertaining if a little hokey (you'll get this when you read the book) I gave it 4 stars as I only found one typo on the last page. Some of the sweatlodge and other native American references were interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Characters nicely developed, interesting plot and unusual ending. Be prepared for a mystical journey, not just a detective story, but there is a lot more to it than that.

Doppelganger, Shaman, a wolf, the lava rocks and the area near West Yellowstone. Great descriptions. Great suspense. I was able to put it down after about three hours but I finished it the next morning

I highly recommend this book. The mystery and spiritualism is very intriguing. While I read this book I was reminded of the series The Teachings of Don Juan: a Yaqui Way Of Knowledge by Carlos Castaneda. Great writing and reading.

Great character development and intriguing story. Hokee Wolf is a believable complicated hero and Glory is an equally strong character as a partner and romantic interest. While the doppelganger aspect of the robbery seems a stretch, there is enough intrigue to make this a great read.

Fascinating and thrilling! Couldn’t put this book down. Knowing the authenticity the author brought to the story adds to my high recommendation to read this. Looking forward to more Hoke Wolf spiritual experiences.

I quickly found myself immersed in this adventure in a new way. The respect I developed for Hokee Wolf's detection skills left me with a curiosity for further investigation into shamanic ways. This book left me wanting more...very good!

I really enjoy books with a Native American setting, especially in the Tony Hillerman style of story telling. I found that in this intriguing story that kept me reading much past my bed time. Thanks for the great read.
