Review:Mini Review: Hello, Sunshine: Laura Dave
Love the documented fall from grace. Sunshine was a loveable character and I adored her relationship with Sammy. Although things did not go her way, I respected her determination to find herself and face her past. Dave filtered the perfect amount of humor, surprise and endurance into this novel.

Review:Seventeen chapters of this book are named after ingredients of Turkish food called 'ashure' and the eighteenth - the last chapter- is named after a poisonous chemical: potassium cyanide. Black humor. Bravo ms. Shafak Read more

Review:A classic from my childhood first experienced through the Disney movie. This was quite a bit different yet all the better for it. I recommend to both the science fiction fan and the lover of history. Written about 1873 it's amazing how much things haven't changed in travel and in people. Read more
Review:I enjoyed Temple Secrets. The description of the South Carolina coastal area and Savannah made me want to take a trip. I loved the character of Queenie and the relationship between Queenie, Violet, Old Sally and Rose was precious. Definitely a feel good book. Read more
Review:I hardly know what to write! This book touched so many chords in my heart - loving, caring people making a family from chaos and distress. In our current times, it's wonderful to find a book where everyone is accepted for themselves, with gender, nationality, color all being so secondary to individuals. Read it - it's refreshing. Review:In Carry The One Carol Anshaw presents her reading audience with a very ambitious fourth novel...one which spans from a 1983 Wisconsin wedding through the 2008 Election as it chronicles a Chicago family thrown off balance by a fatal accident.
This story explores how the lives of three siblings are affected after a fatal freak accident, that ends the life of 10 year old Casey Redman late one night on a dark dirt road with Nick's drugged out girlfriend Olivia behind the wheel.

Review:I really, really enjoyed this book. But, please pay attention to all reviews that stress the editing problems. I do not understand how a book can get published with as many errors as this book contains. It took me much longer to read the book having to go back and reread the parts that were not punctuated correctly or edited properly. That being said I really feel it is a good book and I do highly recommend it; just be prepared for the editing problems. I rated this book 5 stars for the story;... Read more
Review:This is a story of wonderful loving characters and how dedication to family values span a lifetime,
Only a very self-centeredness man with no morals and only thinking of himself and wanting revenge could not destroy a young woman who endured his abandoning her and his son TO BETTER LIFE keep the reader IN SUSPENSE UNTIL THE END OF THE STORY. Read more
Review:Great book, unfortunately short. The author has the talent to put you inside the mind of the protagonist. You could feel and touch all the memories of a man dying (created from his testimony, from his imagination or from his ghostly knowledge, it doesn't metter) and, like him, becoming something like a soul being freed from its body.
