Review:Got the Kindle version to have on hand. Also have the hard copy. Very useful for all the bike types my family makes use of. From us oldtimers to the youngsters, it covers them all.Road or mountain, hybrid, it's there. And the kids are rough on bikes. Read more
Review:This book is an interesting read, but it seems the author couldn't decide which story to tell. His own? Joe Ehrmann's? The Gilman football team's? He goes deepest into Joe's but keeps hinting at his own transformation. That led me to expect more than I found in the last chapter. Read more

Review:Great book for endurance training, however, it falls short when it comes to dietary advice. For example, the following quote comes from the book:

Review:I purchased this book after reading about it in a motorcycle article. I found it to be a pretty good read, although I find it hard to believe someone in the 1970's would choose a triumph motorcycle to do this trip on, knowing their history and reputation during the 70's! I thoroughly enjoyed Ted Simons' writing about his experiences and would recommend this book. Read more
Review:In this book, author Lisa Fenn tells of her prolonged and deepening relationship with two very talented African American students. Each of these young people faced pretty extreme challenges: Dartanyon dealt with low vision, and Leroy had actually been run over by a train, resulting in the loss of his legs and innumerable surgeries. Each of them had unfortunate family situations in which some of their deepest needs had not been met. Lisa Fenn a television producer for ESPN, grew close to the boys... Read more
Review:Nothing really exciting here. The advice is obvious. Any self help book on self control has at least this much content.
Not worth the time if you've read anything close to this content. Self-control and mindfulness are covered much better in so many other formats. Just because it has "poker" in the title, doesn't mean the content is original. Read more
