Review:This is a comprehensive textbook for understanding the short game. Dave talked about how one swing relates to another and provided the overall framework needed to really understand something and absorb it. Read more
Review:Overall, an entertaining read. I'm curious to see what happens to the characters. The characters, though, are CHARACTERS -- all eccentric and quirky. That gets tiresome pretty quickly. Or perhaps it just means that everyone I know is dry and dull. If you find it on sale, or someone offers to loan it to you, great. Otherwise, it's probably not worth full price. Read more
Review:It was a pleasure reading this book simply for the fact that it includes a number of topics which are not usually included in similar books, such as Body Dynamics, the element of fear etc.
The plain english is easy to follow and the figures clearly explain anything that might seem overly complicated when read for the first time.
This is truly a book for the rider who wants to better him/herself and its a pitty it does not leave space for small notes for the reader to jot down to us... Read more

Review:I have read, in forum discussions, that this book is helpful for improved riding technique whether track or street. I saw no street application at all. And I don't think there was any profound information about riding on a track. This is a text book ment to be used when taking a beginner's racing course. Read more

Review:Michael Blanding combines a history of cartography, the stories that antique maps tell us, and the series of crimes of a respected map dealer. Together, they make for fascinating reading. There are limited number of top-notch map dealers, who operate under a code of trust, among themselves and with their customers, who depend on them for an understanding of a map's historical significance and for assurances of its authenticity and provenance. Forbes Smiley broke that trust in order to fuel hi... Read more
Review:Liked Bill Simmons' writing in the past. There was no pretentions, it was straight forward stuff. Low brow humor intermingled with pop culture references. It was funny, despite his biases which were always a tad tiresome. However, something happened along the way, specifically the last year or two. He has tried to become something he wasn't, and he is now straddling the line between low brow and high brow stuff. He writes eulogies for Hunter Thompson?? Say it ain't so Bill. This guy perfor...
