Review:Great book!
Bad rip off....Recently I went to my local library for this book. I have a paper due in two weeks on the book, so I was a bit pressed to get this home. The library has the "premiere edition" but it had someone's underlining throughout, bothered by this-- I went to Amazon and bought my own version.I thought this one is worth having until....I noticed a few oddities. First the book is a bit wider, the pages are crispy white, not the tinged off white the library book had. The maps, and... Read more
Review:One should see or read The Secret, or be familiar with Abraham-Hicks materials, or even the metaphysical before reading this book. Seth Speaks is the perfect book for those who believe in a multi-dimensional, energy driven world. It explains many facets of life, that are ignored or stuck in the category of hallucinations. Certainly it is a different slant on "eternal life." It gives new meaning to the dream state. Read more
Review:I received a very small book. I was not made aware of this while I ordered the book. I never realized there were small books with tiny printing. This is very disconcerting, especially to my 71 year old eyes! Read more
Review:This book may be pretty good but it was not exactly what I thought it would be. It is more about anorexia and bullemia than overeating. I really haven't gotten into it enough to give it a great review, so I was a bit disappointed. Read more
Review:I bought this book for a college class. As possible, definitely shop Amazon books to gain the best value. Campus bookstores can be expensive! I received this book promptly and it was in great condition (as listed). The subject matter was excellent! The content provides research outcomes, scenarios, and recommendations for tackling difficult conversations on most any level (personal & business). I approve the book & the seller. Read more
Review:When I started reading this book it was at the end of a long hard day after work, one of those days where I am blessed to have a job, but when I also wonder if what I'm doing is worth some of the not so blessed drama I go through. I work at a non-profit agency where its my job to assist people on public assistance find gainful employment, so in my position I hear all kinds of tales of woe and there are times (more than not) lately when I find myself becoming desensitized to the plights of my fel... Review:Malika Oufkir's childhood was one of luxury and indulgence as the informally adopted daughter of King Muhammed V of Morocco and companion to Princess Amina. That life was gone in an instant when Malika's father, General Oufkir, was implicated in an abortive coup against the regime. The General was summarily shot; Oufkir's wife and six children -- the eldest, 19-year old Malika, and the youngest a baby only three - were rounded up, placed under house arrest and then dispatched without legal reco... Review:Interesting parts, especially to a Hawaiian resident. Insights into the life of the plantation families. Liked the reaction to the youngsters as they were on the cruise ship and also how they were received on the mainland. Story of courage and determination. WAY TOO MUCH DETAIL that did not add to the story. Needed better editing. Read more
Review:While I admire the authors many accomplishments and can appreciate his contributions to the art of profiling, his ego leaves no room for admitting mistakes. This gives me reason for concern, no one is ever right in every instance no matter how experienced. For instance the William Heirens case which he breezes through with broad strokes doesn't touch on any of the contridictions of this particular case and in the end he writes William off as guilty without ever looking into any other aspects of ... Review:This book will make you love mythology again, or will serve as an excellent introduction for those who are unfamiliar. Visual presentation is superb, from typography to color composition. I also have one of the earlier editions that don't have the illustrations, but the simple presence of colors in this one just makes the book much easier to follow and remember certain portions.
