The Autumn Republic (Powder Mage Trilogy)
The Autumn Republic (Powder Mage Trilogy)

Review:I have read a great deal of fantasy over the last 30 years, some good, some bad. This three book series is some of the better stuff I've read. If you enjoy fantasy and have been looking for a diamond among the rough you should read this trilogy. Read more

INK: A Love Story on 7th and Main
INK: A Love Story on 7th and Main

Review:I am not really a contemporary romance reader but having read all of Elizabeth Hunter's other work I thought I would try it out. I loved it. I loved the characters and the bookstore, which was almost a character unto itself. I can't wait to revisit 7th and Main. Read more

Final Debt (Indebted Book 6)
Final Debt (Indebted Book 6)

Review:I couldn't have asked for a better end to this great series. I have been sucked into this story from the very first chapter. The characters are really what sucked me in. The emotions were so real I had trouble reading some parts. I'm sad it's over, but so glad to have an ending like this! Read more

Dying for Dinner Rolls (Georgia Coast Cozy Mysteries Book 1)
Dying for Dinner Rolls (Georgia Coast Cozy Mysteries Book 1)

Review:This book was boring and sophmoric.
I really wanted to like it but the characters were so one dimensional and the whole plot uninspired.
Quite disappointing. Chubby chicks just lost a reader.

Hate when I wasted my time with a ridiculous book. Even if it was free.
I can see why. Read more

A Girl and Her Dog Cozy Mystery (Charlie Parker Mystery Book 1)
A Girl and Her Dog Cozy Mystery (Charlie Parker Mystery Book 1)

An Inspector Banks Novel (Inspector Banks series Book 22)
An Inspector Banks Novel (Inspector Banks series Book 22)

Review:I have read all of the Inspector Banks books. I did not enjoy this book nearly as much as I did the rest of the them. I had a difficult time finishing the book. The plot evolved around the hauling of dead animals and was pretty graphic at times. Certainly one would not want to eat while they read this book . Banks still has difficulty settling on one woman but he is still very likable. I will patiently wait for the next book and will buy it because as a whole I like the continuing characte... Read more

Monster Hunter Siege (Monster Hunters International Book 6)
Monster Hunter Siege (Monster Hunters International Book 6)

Review:I just finished this book yesterday and really enjoyed it. The twist at the end was a bit predictable but doesn't detract from the story overall. The first half of the book moves a bit slow. However that's to be expected to build upon and recap some of the events in previous installments in the series. Once they get to the Island the story picks up speed and doesn't let up. The book introduces a new villain in Asag and he's particularly nasty and powerful. Who's been hinted at and teased since e... Read more

The Monster Hunter Files (Monster Hunters International Book 7)
The Monster Hunter Files (Monster Hunters International Book 7)

Review:A few stories - Ringo is a standout - were great fun, and truly in the wild, crazy, happy spirit of Monster Hunters books written by both Correia and Ringo. There were some interesting ideas presented in the stories as well, and there was a good quantity of original, imaginative work. But most of the stories don't ring 'true' to the spirit of MH. Characterizations of some of the main protagonists from the original stories were especially unconvincing.
In the end, I was left unsatisfied. Inste... Read more
