Whispersync for Voice
Review:The book is too short; I understand the issues of the Soviet system and it is just a cracking good story, but I felt another 200 pages would have fleshed out the societal views a little more.and made a little more of the interesting minor characters. Read more
Review:Ms. Ashley has done a wonderful job of demonstrating how to overcome bad things in our lives. We don't always have control over everything. Learning to depend on others is a hard lesson too, but this book shows it all to us!! Worth the read!!!!! Read more

Review:Typical Frank story, woman from the "lowcountry" returns, finds love and stays. You know what they say "you can take the girl out of the Low Country, but you can't take the Low Country out of the girl."
Not as good as others that I have read, but I enjoyed it. Read more
Review:~* 3.5 Stars *~
For five thousand years she's ridden. She is Famine, one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Raised in hell, betrothed to Satan, she is a warrior unparalleled, both feared and respected for her skill, revered for her beauty. Cloaked in shadows and mystery, she lives a life of responsibility and struggle...when she's not tripping off to her swank beach home for random and frequent parties and revelry.
And please, call her Limos, party girl extraordinaire. That whole ... Read more
Review:At first, I thought this was significantly derivative of Alter World by D. Rus. But, it was well written and engaging, so I stuck with it. The story turned out to be quite fun and it has promise in the sequels to follow. Sadly, this is early in, so there is no other title this author has published to see if he is in it for the long haul. Mr. Castle has a web log and he posts his writing there serially, much as Dickens did back in the day when he wrote Pickwick Papers for newspapers in London. It... Read more
Review:This is another of those collaborative efforts by writers of military SF in which there is no attempt to do anything new or different, but with a lot of crowd-pleasing battles. The essential story, of what will be a multi-book publishing effort, is a coming of age tale. The unhappy, and spoiled, boy becomes a capable and tough man. It would only take one, not very thick, novel to tell this story, but it is spread over several large tomes in order to make room for a lot of rousing battle scenes.<... Read more
Review:I really enjoyed this book.
I love John's universe and Julie did a great job breathing life in to Cally. It was a real page-turner for me.
I don't expect every one of John's books to be exactly the same. Obviously some people do.
Having author's team up has been a serious boom to Sci Fi. Fresh new writers can stretch their wings in an existing universe that already has a fan base begging for more. Experienced writers can get a different viewpoint of their world while keeping... Read more
Review:I was very underwhelmed after reading the first 30-50 pages but am glad I kept reading. I read a lot of military history and have been in the military for over 21 years. I have read books from WEB Griffin to Dale Brown and nonfiction from Hal Moore to James McDonough. Most military novels miss what being a service member is really like and or butcher our jargon and acronyms. You can usually pick up within a few pages if the person writing is either nonmilitary or if they served 15 minutes in the... Read more
