Review:Dear Reader: The is a review of My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga. It was certainly an interesting read but I feel like I needed more information than the book was giving. It's a very dark plot; a story about a girl who sees no light left in the world and decides that she is going to take the quicker way out. She will kill herself to rid the world of the daughter of a murderer. Via the internet and a website, she finds a boy who wants nothing more than to do the same. He is mournin... Read more
Review:Although a captive in Incarceron prison, Flinn adamantly believes that he is there by mistake. Incarceron is more than a prison: it is a structure so vast and timeless that millions of prisoners reside within its dark interior for generation upon generation. Unlike the others who have been residents since birth, Flinn has no memories of his past in prison, but in fact indistinct memories of another place.
Claudia is the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron, and heir to the privileges of t... Read more
Review:I started reading this book way back in October, when it actually came out, and I have to say I'm glad I waited until December, when I felt way more in the holiday spirit, to finish it. It's a whole book of romances so obviously I expected to like it, but in the end I was totally blown away by nearly all the stories and I can totally picture myself coming back to the book year after year.
While I had at least heard of all the authors in the anthology before I had only read books by a few ... Read more
Review:4.5 Stars
Yay! I love seeing Meghan and Ash together as a couple. I greatly missed Meghan in The Iron Knight and it is nice to see a part of the life that she and Ash have after being married. They are getting ready for the first Elesium that Meghan has gone to as the Iron Queen but she is feeling a little weird nausea and almost fainting….hmmm wonder what that could be.
The oracle that once asked for Ash and Meghan’s first born has bad news about their progeny and they must jour... Read more
Review:The short novella WINTER'S PASSAGE was a great way to get more action and chemistry between Ash and Meghan. This isn't a must read. A lot of the beginning is just a repeat of what happened in the previous book THE IRON KING, but if you're a lover of the series then I suggest the read. The story follows Ash and Meghan as they visit Puck before they make their way to the Winter Court. They're in danger as a ferocious wolf is hunting them. As they try to out run the wolf and make it safely to the W... Read more
Review:I have mentioned before the difficulty I have in rating a novella. However, with that said I have to say that I have no hesitations at all with rating Summer's Crossing with five huge sparkly stars! My only complaint is that it couldn't be longer.
This is told from Puck's point of view which was so much fun! I am absolutely smitten with Puck. This novella follows Puck as he goes with Ash to track down our favorite feline, Grimalkin. When they are about to set off they are stopped by t... Read more
Review:Perfect genre intro for those new to Reverse harem - this is the one I recommend to friends who are interested in the genre. Well written and edited, entertaining, not such a slow burn that you're left wondering how it qualifies as romance, but not so fast that you feel it was mechanical and overly predictable in the romance department either.
Some of the plot devices require a suspension of disbelief that I know a few reviewers have found problematic, and in this first book some of the g... Read more
Review:When I began reading this book, I wasn't surprised that the main character was shallow and expected more of her personality to be revealed later on, unfortunately that never happened and I found myself a little bored with her. The other characters are actually a lot more interesting, I wanted to read more about them, but not a lot of additional information is written about them. I was wonderfully surprised that some parts of the book slightly creeped me out, and unlike Twilight, the main charact... Read more

Review:If you enjoyed the Hunger Games, I believe you will also enjoy this book. It's the first of a series by this author who usually writes mysteries. I found the book to be excellently written and very engaging. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to any adult or young adult (I'm an adult). Read more
