Review:**SPOILER**
I really enjoyed this book. It really did seem like genuine high school students and not just another poorly written version of someone's perception of high school students.
I enjoyed the whole ghost killer thing it wasn't your usual vampire/zombie thing which is refreshing.
I did find the whole "he falls in love with a ghost" thing a little weird but it was well executed so it was a good weird.
The voodoo man thing could have been a little better but most... Read more
Review:The Archived by Victoria Schwab
5 out of 5 gnomes
The Archived gives History a whole new meaning. This is such an intriguing book with its plentiful flashbacks, insight into a grieving family, and a fantastical secret world. Mackenzie Bishop’s character is truly complex and will have you rooting for her to succeed.
This book also has a wholly unique explanation for what happens/where people go when they die. As the tag line of the book states, “Imagine a place where the d... Read more
Review:How much can befall a teenager with a curse?!? It truly is unfortunate that Mina is dealing with such tragedy at every turn, but she seems to grow and learn, and become stronger. I hope that she finds happiness in book 4 that can't be written soon enough if you ask me. Happy reading! Read more

Okay, so this book has been calling out to me since I saw one of my reviewer friends post a review about it:. Then I forgot the book’s name and was checking my Amazon page and WHAT DO YOU KNOW? This little precious is #1 in YA fantasy so that pretty much had me dying of curiosity. What? You don't believe me:... Read more
Review:This book is so different from the others, too many things to sort out. The title makes it seem as if things will finally be resolved...but, instead, it's like a whirlwind of things. I think I would have called it "Disconnect Me". On the bright side, I am guessing that the next book in the series is already being written because it Can't just end like this!!! Read more
Review:Disappointing series. I have read 5 books of this series. It has things I liked but some parts are disappointing. The overall layout was ok. I actually liked the writing style. the author doesn't overload you with facts. He gives the basics and leaves the rest to your imagination. I also like the parts with the village. The part about the Torr was good. the way Zollin discovered his powers and then worked to learn about them was another plus. The back and forth relationship between Zollin and ... Read more

Review:I should have known by the title, but the reviews convinced me to buy it anyway. This story was so ridiculous I cannot even begin to tell you how ridiculous it was. They used modern phrases and terms and there is absolutely no hint of the correct historical context. The time period was set so that the plot device of marriage could be used, but the way people spoke and behaved with absolutely modern. There is no understanding of the class differences, no understanding of the history, and no under... Read more
Review:OMG, really. ... without going into the plot of the book, I will say I'm on chapter 16 and they were supposed to be going back to Scotland and haven't made it past one overnighter....too much garbage about what the main characters think....ugh will not finish it....stupid....too bad cuz the author can write but she definitely needed some guidance with cutting out the repetition of what each character thinks about the other. too boring.... Review:The cover drew me in with its stunning beauty, but the awe did not stop there. I was very intrigued by this well thought out world & its characters. There was so much to learn along this journey, my mind happily soaking it all up like a sponge. This being one of the few necromancy themed books on my shelf I truly enjoyed Chupeco's spin. So intense & full of wonder, emotion, & a glimpse into an unfamiliar culture with an added darkness that brought fear & heartache.
As with all... Read more
