Ghosts of Witches Past (Witches of Tower Hill Book 1)
Ghosts of Witches Past (Witches of Tower Hill Book 1)

Review:Ever wished you could solve a murder by asking the victim who killed him? Maybe never been your dream to have to solve a murder and it isn't for the characters in this story either but that's exactly what they have to do, in this magical page turner.
Author has a great voice great for adults or teens. Perfect series for summer reading. I love the magical world O'Flynn has created. Read more

The Prophet (The Cloister Book 2)
The Prophet (The Cloister Book 2)

Review:Sweet holy titfire. This book/ series. I literally sat with my hand over my mouth while holding my breath 75% of this book. This is like What shocked me the most is the realism. Especially in today's day and age. It doesn't sound that unfathomable. Kudos to the author for this book. I cannot wait until the conclusion. Read more

River's End
River's End

Review:The story moves right along keeping your attention. There is a good mix of romance and back story. Pretty typical Nora Roberts. Not one of her best but far from her worst! Recommended audience would would be women looking for a romance with more depth and story line than the typical Harlequin Romance. Read more

Rebel Wolf (Shifter Falls Book 1)
Rebel Wolf (Shifter Falls Book 1)

Review:While the story has some interesting merits it is just too far outside the established shifter, particularly wolf shifter mythology, to go down easy. Ian and Anna are interesting and the family dynamics with his brothers have their moments but nearly everything they say about wolfs being loners no pack dynamics just doesn't sit well for someone that has read a lot in this genre before. Established mythologies within genres give a sense of security to the reader and this book contradicts that. As... Read more

Book 1 (The Alpha Packed BBW Paranormal Shifter Romance Series)
Book 1 (The Alpha Packed BBW Paranormal Shifter Romance Series)

Review:I enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend it.
The leading lady, Darlene, is a little insecure, which isn't necessarily unusual but seems to occupy a lot of her thoughts. I like how the author takes her time revealing Darlene's past. The love interest is a great character and I really get a feel for him. They have all the normal concerns of regular humans without their paranormal natures thrown in. You could almost have the same relationship story with any backdrop.
This particular ... Read more

Wicked Deeds (Krewe of Hunters)
Wicked Deeds (Krewe of Hunters)

Review:Another fabulous book of the Krewe of Hunters. I can never wait till the next one comes out and have to stop any other book that I am reading at the time to read this new book. It is always exceptionally good and always has tid bits of history of the area. Heather Graham is an exceptionally good author and have yet to come across a bad book. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND STORIES!! Read more

The Unseen: Book 5 in Krewe of Hunters series
The Unseen: Book 5 in Krewe of Hunters series

Review:Just say no to The Unseen by Heather Graham. This is the fifth book in the Krewe of Hunters series. (You do not have to read the books in order.) The history in this book needs a major tune-up. Also, one of the main characters in the book, Kelsey, is the very definition of annoying. She follows the same pattern in this book as in previous outings, falling in love too quickly. The story was also too easy to figure out. While this book had other problems, I am so done wasting my time on this novel... Read more

American War
American War

Review:The book starts out slow, but what a fantastic read this was! Mr. El Akkad has a beautiful way with words, and he uses it to good effect to imagine what would happen if the current world situation was reversed and US was the source of fundamentalism which leads to suicide bombers. The dispatches inserted between chapters are well written, and reminded me of Steinbeck's 'Grapes of Wrath'. Read more
