Review:Doctor Morris writes an interesting and thorough book about Edward I. He describes his good and bad attributes and seems to take a neutral position and let the facts determine my opinion of Edward. His style of writing is easy to follow but the book appeals to the reader with a background in English history as well as the newcomer to the period. I can recommend this book without reservation. Review:Poor assesment of the real situation that existed in Britain in May 1940. The author omits important facts how Churchill in his first few weeks of his premiership turned Britain from appeasement into a formidable fighting force. The author by his own admission makes statements that are not supported by documented evidence frequently relying on personal diary entries. Consequently spun an inaccurate picture. Read more
