Dragons of Autumn Twilight (Dragonlance Chronicles

Review:If one tries hard enough, you can find similarities of LOTR in the works of Danielle Steele.
I got the series of books when I was a teenager and this was the first of the genre that I read. Now I'm in my thirties and still pick them up from time to time. These books are simply good fun. The action is fast and the characters are great. I still have not found better authors who keep the story moving while establishing plot and background.
It starts off with a reunion of friends after a five ... Read more

Fury Frayed (Of Fates and Furies Book 1)

Review:I loved this book. I have found the reading on this was quick and capturing. The details the author used and sequence of events kept me interested and unable to put down. I also loved her other series The Judgment of six. I can not wait for the next 2 releases. Read more

The Trials of Apollo Book Three The Burning Maze
The Trials of Apollo Book Three The Burning Maze

Review:After reading previous books, it 'itches' to wait until the new release. Once you have it, you're read it without break. R. Riordan's books take you into his world so you forget everything. Now it itches again, waiting for the sequel. Read more

Nightblade
Nightblade

Review:A worthwhile fantasy read. The plot kept me interested. The details were vivid without being over the top. The heroes were imperfect and many of the villains were actually respectable characters. I found both of those attributes refreshing. The story lacked the profundity of some of my favorite novels. And the magic system was at times disappointingly vague. But all in all I finished the book feeling attached to the characters and excited to read the sequel. Read more

Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances
Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances

Review:I bought this as a gift for my husband, who has read and enjoyed some of Gaiman's other work (e.g., American Gods). This book of short stories was a departure from what he had previously read, but he liked it so much he read it all in an afternoon. If you are familiar with Gaiman and enjoy his writing style, this book will not disappoint. Recommended. Read more

The Last Days of Magic: A Novel
The Last Days of Magic: A Novel

Review:A bit long at some points with the epilogue being way too short. This novel casts a wide net of characters with perhaps too many getting lost in the shuffle. The blend of history with fantasy was well done. Read more

Empire of Ivory (Temeraire, Book 4)
Empire of Ivory (Temeraire, Book 4)

Review:The book was an ex-Library book from Britain, and had the title page and another page ripped out of the front of the book. I knew it was a used book but it was reported in good condition, and I do not consider a book with mutilated pages "good". Read more

A Tale of the Dwemhar (Half-Elf Chronicles Book 1)
A Tale of the Dwemhar (Half-Elf Chronicles Book 1)

Review:As an R.A. Salvatore fan, I was very interested to see what this book had in store for me. What I found was a story that was inticing and left me wanting more to see what happens to these characters. I think it is fair to say that JTWilliams is a fairly new author and that shows at points in the book, however I felt as if I could feel his aptitude advancing as the story went on and believe he has a lot of potential. I've been reading R.A. Salvatore since 1991 or so, and have very much enjoyed... Read more
