Mythology & Folk Tales
Review:I got because I liked the idea of short stories - fairy tales, they are not that short, But are very good reads and so well detail and draws you into the book like a great book should, it starts out with the "the bad guys" and there fairy godmother, the mad hatter , the bad guy in beuty and the beast and and the wolf. I can wait to read the next set with the rest of the bad guys :) sorry won't get details from me but well worth the read and money. Read more

Review:This book started out painfully slow. I lost interest in it twice. The story finally picked up some steam. It still wasn't exciting enough that I couldn't put it down. Of course, it's a cliffhanger ending. I will not be moving on with the series. The storyline was somewhat interesting but I quickly grew tired of her smart mouth and total disregard for those not considered her friends. Read more
Review:The evolution of the characters continues through this book. It is truly well written and edited to ensure the reader is not stymied by the flow, grammatical or spelling mishaps. Thank you and I cannot wait for the next in the series. Read more
Review:The third book was worth the wait and exceeded my expectations! Even though we didn't get more insight into the original reason why Lead joined the legion we did find out more about her and Nero's past. I don't want to give away any spoilers but the slow build in their relationship and the building mystery have me wanting the 4th book right now. A series worth following. Read more
Review:I have read pretty much every book written by Ms. Summers and she is phenomenal as always in this series. While it took me a tiny bit longer to get into the series, I was more engulfed with this one and was up very late to see what happened. Nero and Pandora, I am dying to see what happens. And I am dying to see if my suspicion at what she is proves right. Nice work. Read more
Review:This is by far my favorite series right now. The books just get better and better. The stories flow so well but without being predictable. These books are great also because all the characters not just the main one's have depth and are relatable. Read more
Review:I saw all the high ratings and downloaded the book without reading what it was about, so take that into account with this review. It was a well-written story, but not my personal flavor. It seemed slow paced and somewhat juvenile. I'm not sure if it is marketed as a YA book (the heroine is 22 after all), but that's exactly what it felt like. So if you're looking for a strong female lead like Kate Daniels or Jane Yellowrock, this isn't your heroine. However, if you're looking for something softer... Read more
Review:Leda, our heroine, has such a strong sense of right and wrong...not to mention kick butt magic! Her love story is epic, and her lover even more so! Awesome angels, evil demons and world domination...what else can you ask for? I can't wait for the stories of the other sisters too! Read more
Review:In Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories, the author re-creates the fairy tales of old, melding them into feminist tales of love, loss, lust, and sexuality. While her stories find their genesis in the childlike versions of Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and others, Ms. Carter transforms these fantastical stories into adult renditions where vampires prey on virgins, where children lie down with wolves, and a Count "thrust his virile member into the dead girl"...
