Review:Read the other elemental books before reading this one, but you are going to want to read Rootbound again after reading this.
I was leery about buying this story. Reviews which I had read made me not very excited to read this. I HATE stories where important decisions are made based upon false information, and it seems in the reviews like that is the case with this. And in a way, that is true. BUT no one is being stupid. Everyone is doing the best they can with the information they have at... Read more
Review:There was interesting world-building, and the magic was interesting, but so much of the writing and plot was cringe-worthy. There were plenty of times, especially in the beginning of the book, when I couldn't believe how contrived the choice of words was, and a lot of the plot had my scratching my head because it didn't make sense. Review:It was very easy to be enchanted by this series. Twists and turns that dont throw you for a loop but have you on the edge of your seat until the end. All 3 books were a great easy read. A very refreshing series worth reading, but start at the beginning! Read more
Review:Larkspur is a good character to follow. She is not perfect, but learns from her mistakes. I like how she has progressed from an outcast, to a person gathering friends and loved ones as she goes about her quests. I look forward to the next adventure! Read more
Review:This is a story of integrity, determination, sisterly bonds, and courage laced with fear. The characters are multi-layered, and they come to life in Mayer's skillful hands. Quinn, the heroine, is especially appealing.
Right from the start, Quinn's hopes and fears captivated me, and I soon began to wonder how she could ever succeed. She faces no small task as she grapples with the dark mysteries that spring from her Celtic heritage.
The story includes two attractive men, with subplo... Read more
Review:Absolutely fantastic. Took me two days to read it. I hate how fast I read these books or the fact that the next one isn't out yet. Her work as always is amazing and you get drawn into the story with the first chapter. Can't wait for book 3 to come out. Read more
Review:Windburn to me felt like a book of transition. There was so much going on this book that at one point I felt like I was being pulled in several different directions.
We start where Firestorm left off. Lark has been tasked by her sister to look for their father. Personally I would have left him to rot but Lark is made up of firmer stuff. We are quickly thrown into the action but this time it's Lark, Peta, and Cactus. Ash stays behind to give Lark a head start. Blackbird is back and boy was... Read more
Review:The author tells a good story but struggles to tie numerous events together. Really misses on making you care what happens to main characters and how this supernatural chaos coexist in the human world. Read more
