Review:I've been a fan of this series since the beginning, as this is the last installment in the series, and I was not quite ready to face that, so I put off reading it. Now in some ways I wish I hadn't, while in others I wish I'd rather have not picked up this one at all. It's left me with mixed emotions, as I am wondering what comes after this, I still have more questions than answers. And I was not expecting the story to end where it did, yet at the same time I don't really see how else it could h... Read more
Review:I didn't like this. I read about 50 pages and couldn't go further. It was too gory and too many illicit scenes, I mean the character had no loyalties. He slept around a lot and I didn't want to read about it! Read more
Review:I absolutely LOVE this series!
I read the Abandoned a while ago, and finally got around to this one. Note:I accidently bought The Kingdom instead of The Restorer, but it didn't matter! I was sucked in and finished it in 2 days. This was awesome. Read more
Review:I read voraciously, usually one book a day, two if the book is under 400 pages. That being said, sometimes it takes a couple of books to make a book series one I would want to continue reading. Some don't make it past the first chapters. This book immediately grabbed my interest, never losing it. I knew by the last twenty pages I was going to be disappointed that the story was great, the characters more than likeable, and a direction I wanted to continue to follow... however that last page read,... Review:I have long awaited this most recent book in the Mercy Thompson series and was not disappointed. In my opinion, Patricia Briggs is one of, if not THE best writer in this genre. Pooey to those who say they were disappointed. I enjoyed seeing Adam and Mercy finally delve deeper into their relationship now that they are married. As for the rest of the story...how could anyone NOT enjoy...the complexity of the characters and all the action was still there! Can't wait for the next installment, ... Read more
Review:I bought this expecting just another mediocre fantasy novel, but it suprised me in the best way possible. The characters were interesting & well developed. The book ended with enough closure to not make me mad, but made me interested in what happened next. I could hardly put the book down & dreamt about it when I was reading it! I can't wait for the 4th to come out to find out what happens next. Seriously worth a read. Read more
Review:I wish I could get my money back! This book was extremely vulgar for no apparent reason. It was as if the author thought the vulgarity could make up for his extremely bad writing. Read at your own peril. Read more
Review:I am a picky reader, and there are so many poorly written books available through Kindle Unlimited that I have learned to keep my expectations low. Child of the Daystar bucked the trend...interesting characters, enough complexity, a good story arc, and solid editing. Looking forward to reading the next! Read more
Review:I love this series.
If you like fantasy books (Lord of the Rings, The Wheel of Time, the Mistborn Trilogy, etc), I would strongly recommend reading this series. It has a very interesting (and different) system of magic, is well written and edited, and has a plot that kept me engaged throughout. I hate writing spoilers, so I will leave my comment at that.
I'm excited for the final two books in the series. Read more
Review:Well, as stated by many other readers this book from the Eddings reads much like their other books. In fact it follows the styles, and personalities that have been laid out before.
I however feel that it deserves a decent rating.
After all, granted its been done before. But I feel like its an old friend, I enjoy the humor and I even chuckle when I guess lines/actions prior to reading them.
Its a fun book and decently written, I enjoyed it and will shortly be picking up part ... Read more
