An Adult Fairytale Romance (Once Upon a Spell Book 1)
An Adult Fairytale Romance (Once Upon a Spell Book 1)

Review:* I received this free in exchange for an honest review
I did like this story. It's a classic take on the “Beauty & Beast” story written in a traditional “fairy tale style” with characters that have big emotions, and a plot that nearly ties up everything. Feels very classic, but with a princess who can fight her own battles. Read more

A Gripping Serial Killer Thriller (Violet Darger FBI Thriller Book 1)
A Gripping Serial Killer Thriller (Violet Darger FBI Thriller Book 1)

Review:A very good story that keeps you guessing what will happen next. There are times that you can guess what will happen next and other times that you can't. I really liked it and am looking forward to the next book. Read more

The Magician's Land: A Novel (Magicians Trilogy)
The Magician's Land: A Novel (Magicians Trilogy)

Review:I chose 4 stars because I thought this book was an excellent end to the trilogy. I did dock a star for the use of too much internet memes and slang. Phrases like "No f#%k's given" is a phrase used on Reddit; it will date this book. I also thought the cussing, while it'll felt natural, was a bit much. However, Mr. Grossman is an excellent storyteller, and this book is unput-downable. Read more

Spellbound (The Grimnoir Chronicles)
Spellbound (The Grimnoir Chronicles)

Review:This is an amazing series. Adding magic to the thirties and then changing history in subtle ways is great fun. I also like how one of the over-arching plots in the book is very similar to the Marvel mutant plot. Normals vs Magicals. Read more

Fire (A Companion to Graceling)
Fire (A Companion to Graceling)

Review:I'm glad I waited a bit before I decided to write this review because, otherwise, I would have ranked this a lot lower than I did.

First, I knew that she was going to focus on something a little less Graceling but I wasn't expecting it to be this different. I was taken aback by how little she touches on the Gracelings in this book. In fact, that was the reason why I was so determined to give this book a lower score because of my belief that all books in a series should be in the same worl... Read more

Deceptions (The Cainsville Series)
Deceptions (The Cainsville Series)

Review:Kelley Armstrong is one amazing writer!! Her Cainsville series only continues to prove that by getting better and better with each and every book! It's definitely way different from her Otherworld series, as I've said in past reviews, but it's still a marvelous and enthralling tale just the same!

Deceptions is the third book in the series, and unlike her Otherworld series, you have to read this series in order from the beginning or else you're going to miss so much! It's like missing an e... Read more

Spell Bound (An Otherworld Novel Book 12)

Review:Ready for the twelfth book in this wonderful series!? Savannah's unforgettable character returns and the reader will be thrown into a world where danger is around every corner and the reader meets more than a few paranormal creatures. The reader should read the first few books in the series in order to fully understand the current plot.

In this novel, Savannah's powers are taken. She is resentful and sullen over this change and the reader will want to shake her more than once. Without ... Read more

Visions (A Cainsville Novel Book 2)
Visions (A Cainsville Novel Book 2)

Review:The book carries on right where Omens leaves off. And it takes the reader further into the lives and mysteries playing out for Armstrong's characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it and only have to say "I want more"! Read more

Stolen
Stolen

Review:Stolen is the first episode in a series where business partners Ben and Robin explore a bondage sexual situation. It is written from Robin's female viewpoint and ends on a cliffhanger to encourage the reader to continue the rest of the story. I knew this from the description, so it was not a surprise although I would rather have a book in one piece rather than piecemeal. It loses something when cut up in bits and pieces in my opinion. The characters were well developed and easy to relate to ... Read more
