Swords and Deviltry (The Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser) (Volume 1)
Swords and Deviltry (The Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser) (Volume 1)

Review:To those purchasing this on Kindle. I found a bit of a flaw in the coding that only allows you to properly view the text on the 3rd setting of your font size. I usually read on 2 or 1 so when I opened this book I was a bit miffed that the first sentence of every page was sliced horizontally in half. After a few experimental changes in font size I discovered the only one that allowed proper viewing was 3. If you can't see the third font size in comfort and need a higher setting then this may not ... Read more

Book 25 - Crimson Death - Vampire Hunter
Book 25 - Crimson Death - Vampire Hunter

Review:Once you get away from the relationship angst and get to the plot you are in the last quarter of the book. I keep hoping that the series could go back to what the first six books were like and am sadly disappointed. Magic, murder and mayhem have taken a back seat to any real plot which is a shame. The writing isn't poor it just isn't exciting... Read more

Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell - A Cosmere Novella
Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell - A Cosmere Novella

Review:This short story is overtly darker than most of the Cosmere works. Other novels in this setting have an undertone of darkness but here it is blatant. It does not reveal too many new secrets, however it is still an excellent short story for any Cosmere fan. Read more

With Silent Screams (The Hellequin Chronicles Book 3)

Review:I had a problem with the protagonists in this book. They where kept alive way too long just to further the plot and truly where not on the same level as those in earlier books. The exception to this was the Cave Troll. Over all still really enjoyed the book but felt there where a few too many plot lines that just did not work out. Once again it is still worth reading but could have been better. Looking forward to the next book but hope Steve comes up with some truly worthy Bad Asses. Read more

Born of Hatred (The Hellequin Chronicles Book 2)

Review:I gave the first book in the series, Crimes Against Magic, 5 stars 'cause it was great. I'm giving Born of Hatred 5 stars 'cause it's great as well. Great characters, strong plot and just damn good writing. I can hardly wait for the next one. In the meantime, I'll reread Iron Druid. Read more

Review:DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! ! ! ! Let me rephrase... do not buy THIS COPY of this book. It does NOT have page numbers, it is NOT ANNOTATED in any way, and there is no viable punctuation!
Dickens is great, but the book, but get a BN copy or, if you're an academic, get a Norton Critical. This is clearly printed in some dude's basement and is a RIP OFF if you're trying to do anything worthy with it. 100% do not buy Read more
