Review:Similar principles to many other minimalist books. Great book for someone new to minimalism, but if you have already pursued minimalism this book adds little to the concepts you have already learned. Read more
Review:If you are familiar with the Ramsey family, this goes right along with the rest of their material. If you are not familiar with them, you need to be.
I'd recommend reading "The Total Money Makeover" first, as many of the concepts refered to in "Smart Money Smart Kids" can be found here.
This should be required reading for every American. Read more
Review:If you loved Jen's first You Are a Badass book you'll love this book too! I've already read it once and did the exercises and plan on reading it again and again! If you're looking for step by step how to make money guide or how to get out of debt fast this is NOT for you. There are plenty of other books out there for that. This book is definitely a different approach to looking at money but it connected with me. I highly recommend if your looking for a new outlook on how to look at your money si... Read more
Review:This book is excellent. It really points out to you how you must figure out what you need from life and what makes you happy before getting into a relationship. It gives you loads of exercises and questions to ask yourself. It can take a while to work through due to all the exercises but it is well worth it. Wish I had read it before I got married (and subsequently divorced). So simple, but scary how many of us don't even consider our needs / wants / objectives before getting into a relatio... Read more
Review:This book is actually a course on the underlying causes of weight issues. I was at a point in my life where I kept gaining back whatever I lost and eventually I gave up. This book was written with love and it helped me to understand what my blocks to permanent weight loss were and how to do the work necessary to remove them. As a result of doing the course work given in this book and acting on what I was learning about myself I lost a total of 45 pounds! This book is not a diet or exercise boo... Read more
Review:The best thing to deal with overcoming obstacles, making changes for yourself and moving forward in life is by reading this book to help you get started. Very similar to books like Conversations With God : An Uncommon Dialogue (Book 1) by Neale Donald Walsch and The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by E... Read more
Review:I loved Wild At Heart and how he restored masculinity in the church. The goal is not to train our men to be good, nice, coffee-klatsch women. There are parts of being a man that are God-given and shouldn't be set aside.
Now, as a father of two boys, trying to figure out how to be a good dad, this book is revolutionary. I am not the "outdoorsman" that Eldredge is, but we are having significant discussions at our church right now based on this book. I wish more ministers would embrace this ... Read more
Review:I've received Tom Venuto's emails for several months and ordered the book after a personal epiphany. Venuto's rules are SIMPLE, as he states, but not EASY. This is not a diet and recipe book (his e-book Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle covers that territory) but a complete guide to total dietary/nutritional and exercise lifestyle changes. I have no doubt that complete implementation of the actions outlined by the book will result in the fantabulous, well-documented results of his clients. There... Read more
Review:I studied this book thoroughly, and attended one of the 6-day immersion clinics described in the book. I suffer from chronic pelvic pain caused by pudendal neuralgia and interstitial cystitis, and Dr. Wise assured me that the clinic would help my IC along with my chronic pelvic pain. I was so hopeful I gave my all to the process, practicing paradoxical relaxation throughout the day, working with a trained physical therapist as described in the book, and faithfully following the relaxation protoc... Review:This book is wonderfully written in a very conversational tone which makes it easy to read. I think perhaps just because we are human beings that we may have basic concept of some of what is written about in the book, BUT when it is spelled out in detail the light bulb goes on! I wish I had the information in this book on a couple of meetings/interviews I've had. It would have been interesting, at least for me! You will be able to utilize the information in all areas of your life from co-wor... Read more
