Review:I would absolutely love this book ....if my daughter could actually use it. The copy I received, which I understood was a bit "used", is almost completely filled out. Doesn't help her much having the answers provided for her. Extremely disappointed & hoping I can return or exchange for a better copy Read more

Review:Very interesting reading, not only a study guide. Fascinating anecdotes as you read on which keep you alert. Good for those with a fine vocabulary as well as for high schoolers studying for the SAT. Read more
Review:If you want letter tracing pages, this is the book for you! It's not exciting at all - it includes simple black and white pages with a small picture of something that begins with the letter to be traced. I have noticed that the colorless, simple format is actually less distracting than some of the other, more colorful work books. My just-turned-4 year old isn't exactly thrilled with this book, but it gives him something to do while he waits on his brother to finish his homework. Read more
Review:While only a beginner attempting to learn the basics of the writing system in a self-taught mode, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this material. The CD is surprisingly crisp and clear, and the text is well-organized and written in a very motivational style. Read more
Review:Mary Karr puts her considerable experience teaching, writing, and reading memoir to good work in this compelling, readable, and idiosyncratic how-to book. I liked Lit, didn't love it, and I've had some starts and stops while reading Liar's Club -- in spots it just feels like she's trying too hard and the pace is still too slow. Yet this book glides along at a swift clip; it's a fun, often entrancing read. She's a careful, clear writer. At times I feel like she's trying too hard in this book too,... Read more
Review:My almost-two year old loves this book! The cadence and rhymes are great fun to read, even over and over ("Again!"). And she enjoys identifying the dog, the baby, the other family members, and finishing the repeated, rhyming lines. And the illustrations are wonderful and fun. One of our favorites. Warning: will make you "Hungry hungry hungry for some Bee-bim Bop" every time! Read more
Review:I love these Quick Study guides! My daughter has the French set, my husband has the German set and I have the Italian set. One day we would like to take a trip to Switzerland and we will be ready to speak whatever language we encounter. They are easy to use and fun and you can put together sentences right away. Read more
Review:Though Tyrion is one of my favorite characters, this was disappointing in that there was no new material - just quality quotes from Tyrion. Not a bad deal, just not what I expected. This might be a good coffee table book. Read more
Review:Bulfinch's Mythology as long been one of my favorite collections of myth. However, this edition from Seven Treasures Publications (ISBN 978-1440426308) is AWFUL! It looks like it was formatted with Microsoft Word by someone who has no business with such tasks. The print is cramped and the page header and footer is barely set off of the page type. The Glossary was not professionally edited and pales in quality compared to the Avenal Edition of Bulfinch's Mythology.
