Review:I have not read a lot of fantasy as an adult, but I think I will pick it up more often, after reading this book! I forgot how deeper ideas and commentary on our "real" world can be made through the eyes and story of a character like Magpie. I was totally pulled into this YA novel from the get go. The story moves fast, always keeping your interest, and all along Miss Taylor drops just enough hints of what is to come to keep you guessing. Also, I was really taken by surprise and blown away by the ... Read more
Review:I was excited when I got the email that this book was about to be released Bc I read the whole series straight through and had to move on thinking that was the end. And this book did not disappoint! Claire is finally at NOT but she doesn't escape the trouble for long, and the end totally leaves you hanging. So I can't wait for the next one! Read more
Review:My friends and I love the Maximum Ride series, and I think James Patterson has done a really nice job on the books, but this fourth book sucked! I mean, I like that James is trying to spread the message about global warming, but the melting oceans and the flock do not mix. There was barely any kick-butt-action, unlike the three other books in the series. One of my friends wouldn't even finish this book. Plus, this cover was seriously bad. Really really bad. I just hope the fifth book will be muc... Read more
Review:Like a lot of other readers, I was skeptical picking up this book. The 4th book was about global warming and it was one giant political message. This book wasn't nearly as bad. There was still some global warming and pollution messages however, it's not nearly as bad. Unlike the 4th book, they had a purpose in this book. I don't want to spoil anything from the book, but this time around, the flock was working to actually save something important to them.
This book isn't perfect though. The bo... Read more
Review:I like the book and I am very happy that Max and Fang are finally together. I liked the way it was ended...you know that the other are alive and Fang and Dylan have no hard feelings. I love that Max finally tells Fang that she loves him. I love that Fang also admitted his feelings for Max. I am very happy that it ended the way it did. Read more
Review:I have read every book that "THE MASTER" JAMES P. has written. I have never given him less that 5 stars (including Quickie). But this #3, I really thought I was reading an Al (sic) Gore proaganda paper or michael (sicko) moore, "Why we should have a Socialist Society." I sent my Grandaugther the trilogy and after reading #3 she ask me if I was joking giving her such left wing liberal junk. I still love patterson and his writings, but does not have implant his personal beliefs into his books or h... Read more
Review:I love the Max Ride books, but I think they've been going downhill for a while. I wasn't super-excited to read this, but I knew that I would eventually. I also know I'm going to read the next book [whatever it is, and whenever it comes out-if anyone knows, please tell me!] but I wasn't overly impressed with this. When an author flat-out tells you in the summary that one of the major characters that has the love of so many fans is going to die, they're taking a huge risk. Kill someone off, annoy ... Read more
Review:While I can't pretend to like the title of this book, I am definitely still liking the series. As it goes on it only seems to get stranger, more mysterious, and more complicated. As Max struggles to protect her flock from the Erasers (led by resentful child Ari who may or may not be her brother), she also tries to find out about their past and about her supposed destiny (which, if you missed book 1, is to save the world). Though the kids get a peak at what a normal life is like, it seems that th... Read more

Review:This book is great. although I haven't read it yet (I'm waiting for October when I fly to England so I have something to read on the 9 hour flight) I'm a big fan of the series. It came in the mail just a few days after I ordered it, and the shipping wasn't too expensive. The book also came in great condition. Read more
