Review:This book isn't bad, but has a LOT of typos and repeats the same information many times. I don't think a review book should say the same thing over and over again.. it doesn't feel like a review. The practice questions aren't bad, but the answers aren't always correct. It seems like they are using an old test bank for the answers and sometimes they do not reflect the question. Read more
Review:I used the older version of this when I was in PA school to help prep me for the PANCE exam. After practicing for 4 years, I thought I would buy the newer version for a refresher and to get some CME hours in. I was disappointed. As mentioned in many of these other reviews, there are quite a few typos. I even noticed a couple of the review questions have the wrong answer (in the book- I haven’t logged in the online portion yet). I just would think those would’ve been caught during the editin... Review:Passed the CCRN first try- this book is very concise and easy to follow without giving too much or too little info to understand topics. Passing it around at work for everyone to use. Great review book- suggest this over any others. Read more
Review:Its required text for my RN program. It wasn't until recently I was forced to crack it open when my go to HESI book did not have specific question choices for the chapters I was to be tested on. I read over the matching chapters in this book and It simplified and condensed all the info I needed. The questions from the online companion were SPOT ON for my exam. I've been converted. I like this book now. Read more
Review:Great book to read. A lot of information given that I was not aware of. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to know about our history and is into medicine. It's a great way to read on how medicine was incorrectly used. Read more
Review:It's alright. There isn't that many cool "expirements" you can do that you never really knew to begin with. My son is 1 now and I only actually tried about 10 of the expirements mentioned. This is more of a gift you would get for a new dad who doesn't know anything about babies. He would think this is the most amazing book ever, and you would seem like the coolest friend! Read more
Review:This book is great! Really does keep the drama at a very low level. In forty years of teaching, I have slowly come to these ideas, which are so well articulated and explained in this very readable book. Illustrations are a bit strange (comic drawings illustrating choices, good and bad, that parents make), but are helpful in illustrating concepts. So glad I purchased this book, and I recommend it often! Read more
Review:As my doctor says, this is the future of medical thinking. It makes complete sense and is a reminder of really how basic our systems are. Of course they are infinitely complex but the concepts are so logical. This should be required reading for anyone in medicine as well as anyone who wants to understand how to keep our bodies working as they were designed to. Note that this book complements another worthy read: Farmacology by Daphne Miller, M.D. Read more
Review:I had no idea what to expect with this book - I got it as I was tired of reading fiction. Really interesting. It put a lot into perspective about the safety protocols at hospitals that have been put in place in just the last decade. Read more
Review:This thing is awesome! Really fun to flip through and get practical tips on real life situations. As a father of a lot of boys, this is a great discussion piece and a resource for me to raise boys who have a real idea of how to act like a real man. Read more
