Review:This is a powerful book! It offered so much food for thought, was certainly empowering to think how much control we have over our health...a very different approach than traditional Western medicine. Read more
Review:This book is excellent! Trauma is experienced by everyone in relationships, work, community and family. This book is accessable and relatively easy to read. However, it is not easy to read in the sense that it forces each of us to look within ourselves at our own lives and how we are impacted by the various traumas that we experience. Trauma can be experienced daily, weekly, or once-in-a-lifetime; but it always leaves an impression upon us. This book helps us learn to process these impressi... Read more
Review:This is a wonderful book. After completing one other book on PTSD last summer, I found I was desperate for more help by last Christmas. This book took me further along the healing journey. The cognitive behavioral therapy exercise, eye movement exercise, thought field therapy and life review exercises helped me process my anger and despair more effectively. As a result, I can now see my life in a constructive light (while I await more counselling and EMDR.) Read more
Review:My daughter was born with fears. She has been SO clingy since the day she was born and even when she would wake up in the morning, she was almost frantic to find me. She had three treatments and she was a new person. All her fears seem to be gone and she is a confident and happy little girl now. She was age 5 when she received treatments. It is nothing short of amazing. Read more
Review:When dealing with childhood trauma, I heard about Peter Levine and this book and Waking the Tiger - I bought both. I read both and then recommended these books to my family who had been through the same traumas. I have to say these books helped me in conjunction with counseling and other therapy. I highly recommend them. Read more
Review:This book is very informative about the back pain industry and alternative ways of helping your back. However, the people involved in the alternative ways differ greatly in philosophy and approach. It is quite confusing out there if you're trying to diminish or heal your back pain. The author was much more critical and analytical about the back pain industry regarding medicine (doctors, medications, surgeries) but not critical or analytical about alternative methods discussed in her book such as... Review:This is the heartbreaking and hilarious story of Mr. Burroughs' struggle with substance abuse and his recovery from his crazy past life. The reader is riveted by the precipitousness of his fall, enthralled by his honesty, and guiltily entertained by his humorous telling of the almost unbelievable story of his bizarre upbringing. We are left feeling very grateful that Mr. Burroughs has survived and continues to grace us with his brilliant wit and engaging storytelling. Read more
Review:This book really helps explain bathroom issues and how they affect your child. My seven year old daughter has always had issues with constipation and bed wetting. It escalated to the point that she was having pooping accidents in the day and at night while she slept. The plan and advice in the book, along with the medical guidance of our GI doctor, has helped get our daughter back to normal. She also no longer wets the bed at night. I highly recommend it! Review:Oh my gosh. Really poorly done. Very basic. She suggests a whole diet and then you change it. She refers to another book almost constantly. Suggests you cut out gluten and dairy but doesn't explain why gluten or dairy could affect one's mood. Oh and eat meat, but doesn't show any studies as to why meat would be helpful to mood. Disappointing and now I'm really depressed that I spent the money on this book. Read more
Review:Outstanding, but read at your own risk!! This booklet is not for the faint of heart & may devastate your personal retirement plans. But who wants to sit back & "take it easy" while serving our Lord & Savior in the midst of spiritual warfare? We can 'rest' when we get to heaven. A must read!! Ray H Read more
