Blackout: Remembering the Things I Drank to Forget
Blackout: Remembering the Things I Drank to Forget

Review:This book is spot on. Different words, a few similar stories, friends and characters stolen from my own life story. Blackouts used to be my safe place, but now working to remember everything is where I feel safe although extremely uncomfortable. Thank you for writing the truth even while you continue to remember what that truth is. Read more

A Revolutionary Six-Stage Program for Overcoming Bad Habits and Moving Your Life Positively Forward
A Revolutionary Six-Stage Program for Overcoming Bad Habits and Moving Your Life Positively Forward

Review:When I did my graduate-level practicum, my site supervisor recommended that I read this book. I was absolutely amazed at how well the author laid out the steps for a person wanting to make a change in their life. Not only does the author lay out the steps, but he also provides definitive guidelines to a changer for moving from one stage to the next. I was so convinced of the benefits that this book could provide that I presented its contents and ideas to fellow practicum students during a sem... Read more

Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich
Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich

Review:This was clearly a prejudiced book, written to prove a point. If you take that way, it was fine; if you are looking for a history, you won't find it. All the points are made and documented; but, even though I think many of the points are good, there was a lot more to the war than is presented or considered here. That said, he makes a good, solid case, and suggests some interesting interpretations.
Fun read for a chemist or other technical type. Read more

Epigenetic Medicine and the New Biology of Intention
Epigenetic Medicine and the New Biology of Intention

Review:Despite the focus on the current ineffective health system and the agonisingly slow appearance of energy and complimentary medicine, ‘The Genie in your Genes’ is a book that inspires optimism regarding the possible future of how we approach health and well-being as a society.
Although Dawson Church states ‘Shifting the health habits of an entire civilization seems like a tall order’, it is also clear the momentum is building for alternative interventions and healing practices. The public are ... Read more
