Review:I’ve thoroughly enjoyed traveling back to the Titanic with this book! This spin on the happenings on board and after sinking are totally relatable, giving readers the “first person” perspective that draws them in and keeps them hooked. Highly recommend! Read more

Review:Seth Siegel has written a fascinating, engaging and highly readable book telling the story of how Israel went from chronic water shortages to being a water-exporting nation roughly between 2001 and 2013. Most people probably don't feel they need to know how this happened. But the story of Israel's struggles and ultimate triumph over the scourge of water scarcity is a drama so exciting, and it has such an exhilarating ending, that anyone who picks up this book will end up being very happy they d... Review:I enjoyed the read. This rare glimpse is very limited but it's also the point. N. Korean PUST students; the elite of the elite even are unaware of the outside which is a constant theme in this book. The country is so isolated and orchestrated that it's almost amazing that people swallow the (at times literal) bulls*** they are fed. It does have some hope although not much.

Review:I just finished reading Hunger of Memory as an assignment for a Language and Literacy class I'm taking in my teacher training program. I recommend this book to all teachers or to people like myself who are planning to be teachers. Rodriguez does a outstanding job of capturing the feelings of confusion and separation one feels when learning English. I liked how Rodriguez corelates language with intimacy. Review:Part way through reading, it is more succinct in some ways than Willard Sterne Randall, Benedict Arnold: Patriot and Traitor (1990)
There are some points of information in Philbrick that did not appear in Randall, but there is material in Randall that's not in Philbrick.
There is more detail in Randall in some aspects.

Review:Hayes writes about a difficult reality about open racial divisions most would like to deny, but he presents it with humility and makes it personal in a way that I understood. Should be required reading. Read more
Review:Good account of the hacking of the USA election and the manipulation of it uninformed citizens. This should be a wake up call for all in the USA to become more involved with our political process and understand how the media (all of the media from FOX and CNN to NPR) parses the news. It should say to all of us verify your sources and consider many sources. Look at the media sources that you don't necessarily agree with. Look at sources that maybe contrary to what you believe. Evaluated it, think... Read more
Review:LOVE LOVE LOVE Sabuda's books - my only caution is that you give them to a child when they are a little older and can take care of the lovely cut out pages that pop up - they are all very detailed and are a genuine keepsake for a home library. Best to have mom around when viewing if under 10.
Great resource - try the America The Beautiful as well! Read more
