The decline of the West
The decline of the West

Review:Most of the negative comments concerning this most remarkable book are directed at the abridgement, not the book itself. I found nothing in the abridgement offensive or distorting. The introduction is terrible and does, in fact, betray a deep misunderstanding of Spengler. But I was able to read the abridgement with pleasure (in a day, too) and then go out and buy the two-volume hardcover edition later on. Now nearly ten years later I still find Spengler the most insightful historian that has... Read more

The Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton - A Woman In Charge
The Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton - A Woman In Charge

Review:Lots of details about Hillary' s early life that are not generally known. These details and interesting information flesh out and humanize this great lady, and it's a pity that so many young people don't know her.. I hope many people had the opportunity to read the book. Read more

The Hidden History of the Human Race - Forbidden Archeology
The Hidden History of the Human Race - Forbidden Archeology

Review:Here's a good Brain-Teaser ,.,.,. that everyone can empathize with!!!

How did human beings get here??? Where did we come from???

There are "2" good answers that everyone is aware of:

1- Evolution, Darwinism; we evolved from a damn monkey!

[I could never buy this explanation! I believe it's Nazism, "the blacks" being the missing link.]

2- Creationism; a God made the people! [I could never buy this hokus-pokus, faith is their only support.]

DID YOU KNOW TH... Read more

The Enduring Bond between a Marine and a Navy SEAL that Transcended Their Ultimate Sacrifice
The Enduring Bond between a Marine and a Navy SEAL that Transcended Their Ultimate Sacrifice

Review:Could not put it down. Went into much more detail on Lt. Manion which makes sense, since his father wrote most it. Nonetheless, an unbelievable story of what it means to be a great american, a great friend and great teammate. While most of us will never be called upon to do what these two heroes did, we can all strive to be as good a friend as they were to each other. Read more

I Have Lived A Thousand Years - Growing Up In The Holocaust
I Have Lived A Thousand Years - Growing Up In The Holocaust

Review:Different from other Holocaust books I have read, all written by males. This one, is created by a female writer. A young girl survived from catastrophies, from the evil hand of nazi germany. She almost single handed saved her mother (changed her opinions toward her from then on), and reunited with her brother right before the liberation. Thought provoking stories with vivid details and shocking truth. Beautiful book. Read more

Three Young Mothers and Their Extraordinary Story of Courage
Three Young Mothers and Their Extraordinary Story of Courage

Review:Can't even say enough about this book. I got it as a freebie through Prime, but it has really opened my eyes & makes me want to learn more. What an amazingly told story, the things these people went through, & what they were able to survive just astounds me & makes me SO thankful for what I have. Read more

Alicia: My Story
Alicia: My Story

Review:The story of Alicia Appleman Jurman as told in this book is one of the best written, fastest paced, most interesting survivor accounts from the Holocaust. It reads like a well written novel but is entirely a true story. It is also much more interesting than other accounts, such as Anne Frank's Diary, due to the broader scope of Alicia's life, she was not confined to a hiding place for most of the war but instead survived by staying on the move. True Stories of Children in the Holocaust
True Stories of Children in the Holocaust

Review:Required reading for those wanting to know the real experience of the holocaust from the pens of grown children.
Although I purchased Allan Zullo and Mara Bovsun's book to use as research on a book I was writing ,it not only served that purpose. I was swept up into the horror of genocide. An abomination! Each narrative expressed gratitude for surviving, but I couldn't help getting angry for each one all over again. Just to know that a selected group of individuals was being subdued by the ... Clara's War: One Girl's Story of Survival
Clara's War: One Girl's Story of Survival

Review:I have read numerous books on survivors, the holocaust, and war but this one rises to the 'top'... from the beginning to the end, I felt one with Clara and her family. As her story unfolded and took them into hiding, so did the writing. I felt every minute of their life underground and their day to day life. The web of characters made it a page turner; and those that put everything on the line to save those unknown to them are 'heroes' ... I dare not say more because I'd like others to take Clar... The True Story of a Mengele Twin in Auschwitz - Surviving the Angel of Death
The True Story of a Mengele Twin in Auschwitz - Surviving the Angel of Death

Review:I was disappointed, to the fact this book did not go into detail enough. It was like she was 10 yrs. old, and then she married an American. For sister dying of kidney problems who she, claimed Mengele caused. I wouldn't recommend this book, save your money... Read more
