Review:Great quality book. Very cute story for kids. Mine seem to enjoy all the different sounds that are in this story and it's funny for them even though its kind of serious material (drowning) at times. Read more
Review:This is a delightful book. The illustrations are eye pleasing. There are little unique characters with each page for children to pick out. It is my favorite story to read to my granddaughter. She loves this book. Read more
Review:Perfect level for my 10-year old daughter. We've picked our "secret" drop-off location and enjoy reading each others' entries. Neither of us typically write on a daily, or even weekly, basis, but this format is easy and enjoyable. Love it! Read more
Review:"From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankwiler" by E.L. Konisburg is an excellent book.It is sort of like a great ig mystery. It is about a young girl named Claudia, who is aroud 11 or 12 years old, and her younger brother Jamie, who is around 9 or so years old. Well to make a long wonderful, nice story short, the two kds run away from home to the Metropolitian Museum of Art, with only about $25.00. The kids do a lot of different things that most children wouldn't do if they ran awa... Read more
Review:"Good Dog Carl" was THE favorite book for both my children when young and to give to a newborn or as baby shower gift. As my girls started to talk they "read" me the story and their rendition of Carl and baby's shenanigans. It was the best loved and best worn book in our extensive library. And parents who I've gifted the book to always thank me as their children grow with it. LOVE this book. So happy it's still available to gift. Read more
Review:The Quiet Book is a precious collection of *different kinds of quiet* such as coloring-in-the-lines-quiet and trying-not-to-hiccup-quiet. The illustrations are a soft palate of earthy pastels and the child-animals are absolutely adorable. There are a couple of reasons why I truly love this book and would highly recommend. 1) It's an entertaining way to help children notice when quiet arises naturally. 2) This book encourages children to discover the emotions behind different kinds of quiet - be ... Review:"We do different things with our anger, of course. I was always taught to deny mine, which I did and still do. And that makes me envy you. Your anger is still up here on the surface where you can look it in the face, make friends with it if you want to."
Gilly Hopkins is an 11-year-old kid who has been in the foster system all her life. In less than 3 years, she's been moved to 3 foster homes. Somewhere along the way, she has set her heart to be unpleasant and gutsy, "great Gilly Hopkins"... Read more
Review:This book is a sweet reminder of why letting go of one stage in your child's life and looking forward to another is bitter sweet. This book is good for older sibligs feeling jealous of a younger sibling or my friend is even going to order one for each of her daughters graduating from high school and college. A parent will cherish and hold on to the memories of each stage of life your child goes through and this book captures this well. I love Marianne Richmond books! Read more

Review:I was getting Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site for my son and decided on the box set. GGCS is a cute book that follows various different pieces of construction equipment as they go through their bedtime routines. The pictures are on the dark side but in a soothing way. The story is cute but it takes a bit too much time to get the cadence of the rhyme right. There are a couple of places where I improvise because I just can't seem to make the original words fit. All in all it is a cute book.... Read more
