Family Life
Review:My seven year old daughter says that this is one of the best audio books she's ever listened to. She loved everything about the magic and the ending. She can't wait for the next one to come out! I think this will be a book that we listen to and read again. I especially like that my daughter caught on to the idea of the importance of practicing things you want to be good at through the encouragement to practice magic tricks. Nice tie in to real life right there. :) Read more
Review:My 10 year old granddaughter and I read this book together, I pick her up one day a week from school and take her home. I stay until her parents arrive home from work, during this time we have so much fun.
I ordered Wish for us to read aloud together, and what a hit! We both loved the book, a charming story of a young girl, about 10, that needs the love of a family is fulfilled in a nontraditional way, it's also funny! Highly recommend it Read more
Review:Loved this book; the combination of the writing and the illustrations were superb. This is one of those unique books where the main character is a precocious outsider, but a believable kid. It's one of those books that it hard to explain (a squirrel that gets superhuman strength from a super-sucking vacuum cleaner, leading to a series of adventures and illuminations.) I loved it and I think that most kids would find this readable and interesting. Read more
Review:This was a Christmas gift for our 16 month old daughter who was not really into reading books with us. She loves this one though; I think because we sing to it. My oldest daughter, a 3 year old, loves it also. She sings along and tries to make up rhymes. I definitely recommend this book!! Read more
Review:I first saw this book on vacation in Alaska and loved it! The illustrations are quite vivid and the story is so cute! I have read this to my son everyday since he was born. He loves looking at all of the animals and enjoys when I sing the story. This book will hold his attention longer than any other in his library. Baby Beluga is a definite must have for your tot's library! Read more
Review:Initially I briefly felt that the book was perhaps a little trite, but I withheld judgment because I found the main character interesting. Abilene, whose name is also the name of President Eisenhower's Kansas hometown, is a likeable young girl without direction or place in the world who is resignedly looking for answers. As I read on, I began to realize that "Moon Over Manifest" is a very skillfully crafted tale of two periods of Kansas, U.S., and world history with exceptionally authentic langu... Read more
Review:We read this as a family read-aloud. Everyone, including my husband, 5 kids and I, LOVED this book. It is everything my husband and I have been trying to teach them for years in a better, more organized fashion. We had a great time trying the things that Marc was being taught in the book. My 17 and 15 year old sons have now started getting up earlier and working out consistently. I've been trying to get them to do this for a very long time. The story in this book inspired them. But they a... Read more

Review:This story was exceptional, as I've come to expect from Tracie Peterson. The way she is able to twist several story lines into one major theme keeps the reader fully engaged. It's hard to put her books down, which is the types of stories I like best. Read more
Review:The Two Princesses of Bammare is a wonderful twist on fairy tales by Gail Carson Levine. It is an amazing fantasy set in a world of monsters, curses, and fairies.
In the story, two princesses are sisters and close friends. Princess Meryl is very brave and always wanted to go questing and on adventures. Princess Addie is scared of everything and wants Meryl to always be there to protect her. Suddenly, Meryl contracts a deadly disease called the Grey Death. This disease kills its victims in abo...
