Review:This book was written for me - the scary thing is, there must be a lot of me's out there for a book to be produced. As a 'share-shy' creative, Austin's book is a wealth of information and inspiration. Two things I have absorbed so far: 1) Utilise the global reach of the internet network by posting and sharing, it will surpass anything face to face networking can achieve. 2) Don't post/share anything you wouldn't want an employer or client to read. Review:The Artist's Way Workbook is a valuable companion to the Artist's Way. The Workbook could be used alone but I'm using it in conjunction with the Artist's Way book. I've done the Artist's Way program a number of times, but this is my first use of the Workbook. I'm finding that using the Workbook deepens and enhances the Artist's Way experience for me. Read more
Review:Wins the award for worst book design of the year. The text is almost unreadable as it is microscopically small, condensed, boldface and sans-serif, all of these opposite to what is needed for readability. The lines are unreadably wide and the margins are absurdly small, the gutter being so minimal that one must virtually break the spine to read the nearby text. The many illustrations are so muddily printed that one can not make sense of the book's discussion of them. E.g., the text refers to pai... Read more
Review:I am often disappointed in tattoo books with little story and the same old coverage of the history of tattooing. I've also regretted purchases of books by high-profile folks with something to sell. This is neither of the above. This book is entertaining, visually stimulating, inspiring and packed full. I'm really thrilled with this book. Congrats Kat. It's a winner. Read more
Review:I had 8 hours drive from Cincinnati to Cleveland and back. Listened to this book along the way. Thoroughly entertaining, engaging and amusing. I am not saying I laughed my ass off but i was certainly smiling all along the way Read more
Review:A five star read! I would recommend it to anyone interested in the background of the famous painter and painting and the climate of pre-world war two Austria, as well as the measures taken to restore the painting to its rightful place. Read more
Review:This text gets an extra star because I'm familiar with the original copy.
The pages are a recycled mess, with blurred pictures in an array of
font sizes. The pictures are minuscule without a microscope.
I'm certain I have my three decades old copy, which remain
( sealed in a trunk ) in pristine condition. I just wanted to present
a newer copy as a gift to a tiny ballerina hopeful. The Grant Manual
is a great text, but not in this recycled brown paper-version. Read more
Review:The manner in which Deaver leads the reader from a mystery happening in the United States to the country of Italy is as good as it gets.
The details presented to the reader allows one to feel as tho one is actually walking the streets of Naples. Another A+ novel :) by JD!! Read more
Review:I'm seeing reviews that the tennis one is better, but I read that one and could not apply it to playing an instrument. There are practically no guides on the psychology of learning music. Thankfully, there's this great one. Read more
Review:With its beautiful photography and engaging text, everyone who has picked up this book from our coffee table over the years has enjoyed it. But no one has loved it as much as my daughter has. Now eleven, she has read it so many times since she first found it at the age of four that our copy is in pieces. She has grown up with this book at her side, taking new information and insights from it with each reading. In the early years, we looked at the pictures together with more discussion than r...
