A Sudden Light: A Novel
A Sudden Light: A Novel

Review:I have great admiration for a writer who can write a compelling novel with a confusing title and a dog as protagonist as Stein did with The Art of Racing in the Rain. It was a great read. This one, not so much. Stein is an excellent writer and there are moments when his brilliance shines through in this effort, but not many.

Fourteen-year-old “Clever Trevor” is just a little too clever to be believable. Yes, I know there are child prodigies and geniuses, but few possess the mature thinkin... Read more

Autobiography
Autobiography

Review:I love Morrissey...it is written how he speaks . Kind of neat that as you are reading you can hear him speaking. He does drone on a bit here and there and his non meat eating stance gets a bit obnoxious but whatever...it is a well written and interesting book Read more

What Does This Button Do?: An Autobiography
What Does This Button Do?: An Autobiography

Review:Thoroughly enjoyed this. Disappointed by so many reviews saying there isn't enough 'dirt'. I would of been disillusioned if Bruce had written that kind of crap. He tells a great story of growing up in England during the 1960s and 70's. His adventures in music and flying are fantastic. I don't think you need to be a fan (though I am) to get something out of it. I went with Audible for the first time. Glad I did. I can listen on my commute and Bruce reading Bruce's words is just effin' awesome. We... Read more

Take Me Home: An Autobiography
Take Me Home: An Autobiography

Review:Intensely self-engrossed writing, but interesting. If John hadn't given so much credence to the angst-filled workings of his mind, he might have been a happier person. But then he probably would not have been such a an amazing songwriter or performer. It was also enlightening to read about his activist work outside his singing career. Read more

Gold Dust Woman: The Biography of Stevie Nicks
Gold Dust Woman: The Biography of Stevie Nicks

Review:Honestly, if you're interested in this book, don't waste your money - check it out at your local public library instead. As a fan of Stevie's (and Fleetwood Mac itself) for nearly 4 decades, I expected far better from Stephen Davis than this waste of ink and paper, particularly considering that he collaborated with Mick Fleetwood on his autobiography way back in 1990 (which caused quite a stir with the controversial allegation that Lindsey Buckingham physically assaulted Stevie, which Davis goes... Rod: The Autobiography
Rod: The Autobiography

Review:I thought it was interesting. I admire the ambition and drive of Rod Stewart. I thought the book was well written. Probably much more enjoyable to people who like football ( soccer). I would recommend it to people who like biographies of successful people. Read more

52 Creative Exercises to Make Drawing Fun (Lab Series)

Review:I love this book. Having used several "how to" art books in the classroom, this little book gives more helpful ideas and thought than any I have ever seen. I can't wait to start using it as a motivator for my summer school art class. Wonderful gift to the art educator from the creative mind of my sister-in-law! Read more

The Long Hard Road Out of Hell
The Long Hard Road Out of Hell

Review:This was
Surprisingly good but predictable and not a lot we didn't know. Glad he did it and it was interesting enough to keep me reading it. Wish it went beyond Anti-Christ Superstar though. Was never a huge fan but a fan just the same Read more
