Review:For Beatles fans, Doggett's book follows the Fab Four from their break up in 1969 to the present day. The book was most interesting covering the years immediaetly after the break-up - alot of deals on the financial mess but necessary to understand why the split became permanent. Where I had problems with the book is the relentlessly negative attitude towards the four individuals during the second half of the book - none of them seemed to do anything worthwhile. Also, Doggett goes back and for... Read more
Review:I was looking for something more serious than the typical "how to change your strings" book designed for players.
This one is a must. I do all my own set-ups and adjustments and this book covers all the bases, even beyond what you might feel doing yourself, such a re-setting a neck. Never condescending and very clearly written.
If there is something that you won't feel comfortable doing yourself, at least you will have a good appreciation of the skill level required for a pro to do... Read more
Review:Highly enjoyed my read through Lynn's book. She is intimately familiar with the Supernatural fandom and has collected a series of beautiful, honest, and funny essays about what others have gained through it. If you're a fan of the show, I definitely recommend checking out this book. Read more
Review:I love Supernatural, the show is a staple for us. It's an awesome, very inclusive and caring fandom! This coloring book is fun to flip through and see all the pictures, it's fun to color things as you think they could be in maybe another dimension lol
HOWEVER - My biggest gripe - How is Chuck not in this coloring book!? :-( Adding God would definitely have made this 5 stars :-) Read more
Review:A very nice, detailed coloring book for adults. Lots of detail will keep you busy for hours. I am a fan of the show and the coloring book is greatly appreciated. I hope that there will be more to follow! Read more
Review:Now this is the very definition of a master class in writing sex scenes. I myself am not currently looking to write anything, however, I love DG and anything she writes. I always enjoy her humor and if anything else, it's a sort of hit list of some very memorable scenes from across the Outlander saga. Read more
Review:Beautiful is a good word for these songs. They keep the melody dominant in the solo so you don't have to go looking for it. A variety of levels so it's good for many different people and different circumstances. Read more
Review:This started off as a typical douchey rockstar goes in hiding, meet and fall for the small town girl.....but it turned out to be so much more. It's been a long time since I have read something so SWEET and SPICY at the same time.
I loved Shawn and Dakota together especially when they weren't hiding secrets or having misunderstandings. But I guess that was part of the fun. Shawn was very egotistical but he had such a sweet and family oriented side that just made me want to sigh and give hi... Read more
Review:I was very curious about this colouring book, having heard a positive critique on the Baker Street Babes blog. They went on mostly about the positive fan aspect of it, a type of feedback I will leave to the countless fans to do here. Practically speaking, the line art in this book is pretty disappointing. Yes, it has to be line art for colouring, i.e. one must leave empty/blank spaces everywhere to be filled with colour, but the aesthetic of it is truly what ticked me off in many pieces, especia... Review:I finished reading this book by Chuck Klosterman called Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story. I enjoyed it. I laughed out loud a lot and that's important sometimes when you are reading a book that supposed to be about this guy visiting cities and cites where rock stars have died, and the cultural significance of these artists, their lives, and deaths. But it actually just ended up being this guy, driving across the country, going to these places, and inevitably beginning to think about ... Read more
