Review:Wow - young adult books have changed a lot since I was a young adult (don't ask how many years that has been). Or maybe there just weren't too many young adult books and I moved on to adult books. Either way I think that it's wonderful that there are so many young adult books out there for adults and teenagers to choose from. So - I heard about this series and wanted to read it. The first one was definitely interesting. It seems so different from how it was when I was a teenager, but then a... Read more
Review:Book arrived on time, looked to be in good condition. However, each of the characters are already circled in the pages. Kind of defeats the purpose and therefore a waste of money. Considering the description states good condition, I was disappointed to see this. Read more
Review:These postcards are a creative throwback to the days when Waldo was as famous as Gumby and Pokey. The designs aren't repeated, the post-cards are brightly colored and of good quality... I'd definitely order them again. Read more
Review:Absolutely gorgeous illustrations.
Despite what another reviewer has stated, this book is progressive with feminine figures represented hiking (Iceland), Cross-country skining (Sweden), Nordic walking (Finland), ping pong and tennis (UK), and more. They include several female authors, Marianne, female archers, Cleopatra, and more. This is NOT a comprehensive list of famous people from various countries. Instead, it is a beautiful overview of the countries.
The illustrations are phe... Read more
Review:This is the best potty book we have purchased thus far. My daughter really responds to the crown and stickers. She gets really excited to use the potty so she can put a new sticker on her crown. The story is cute too- perfect for little girls. Read more
Review:This book is a portrait of the American West that goes beyond just the stoic cowboys and damsels in distress that most Westerns feature. It takes many of the tropes of Westerns and either subverts them or improves upon them. The pacing is not always the most consistent, but the characters and story is incredibly memorable. It's a story as vibrant as the real West, not the whitewashed Hollywood version. Read more
Review:How do you suppose you would handle being taken from a safe, protected, and coddled environment into a dangerous, crazy, and completely foreign one? They didn't get far before they met the blue monkey. This is when their adventure ... Read more

Review:A curiosity and fascination with outer space led to this purchase for my eight year old grandson. We were delighted with our purchase. The language is simple and straight forward. The book is a great companion for his over-sized wall poster of the solar system. Highly recommended. Read more
Review:Purchased this book for a preschooler, with the intention of introducing social consciousness in an age-appropriate way. Characters are believable, illustrations are interesting, and the story is relatable. Makes me feel slightly less guilty about buying my too-young-to-understand-yet child the kind of brand name shoes that I never got as a child. Read more
