Review:Diana Gabaldon rarely disappoints. She is an excellent story teller. I only gave it four stars because I wasn't really interested in that much detail about his "love life". Still, it was a good read and brought this interesting character to life. It built my anticipation for the next Outlander novel coming out in December. Can't wait for it. Read more
Review:Diana Gabeldon is an incredible storyteller. Anything she writes is absolutely wonderful. This is just an " aside" to the wonderful Outlander" series - about one of the characters in her series, but more of his own story. Read more

Review:Excellent new series. I love the way the story started and made the main characters into real people right before your eyes. Interesting take on necromancy, great world-building, beautiful writing. I can definitely see this series going places! Read more

Review:A much hyped novel that I finally decided to read, Seraphina came across as a little underwhelming. Not that I had much expectations before - prior to starting I only had a vague idea that it is an epic fantasy with dragons, and seemed much older in publication (that cover tricked me!) than it is. Seraphina’s story takes place in the kingdom of Goredd, where she is a human-dragon hybrid in a society that has had just 40 years of peace with dragons. If you are thinking about the mechanics of such... Read more
Review:Great condition and exactly right for my nephew. The bad guy is actually called The Bad Guy. Subtly educational and much more interesting than the regular I-Can-Read books. His parents don't mind reading it every night! Read more
Review:I have had a lifelong interest in pre-history. I got out my book "Dawn of Art: The Chauvet Cave" by the original discoverers and found the paintings described in Shaman. Between the two books, I was transported back 30,000 years Read more
Review:This novel is sweeping in its scope, telling the story of the violence in Jamaican politics, the death of Bob Marley and the rise of the Jamaican drug posses, all revealed in spurts and starts through the eyes of a disparate series of characters who come and go but who all leave an indelible mark on the novel. A history lesson told by an engaging ensemble cast on all sides of the crisis, from the jaded CIA operatives to the killers and the politicians that turned Jamaica into a bloodbath in the ...
